Wello and Lota, Falcon 111, Nash Stealth 7.6, Meanline fin 39. Wind was beautiful at the start and I headed down Lota and got a good NM on the way. Then I heard something crack in my boom, so I did only one speedrun and headed back to Wello, did a gybe and headed out again and 500m out the boom broke and I was in the water. Managed to put the piece back in and sail on the other tack back home. I was hoping to get a good hour but I only managed half an hour, and I only did a few gybes. So in the end I should have rigged smaller and I would have had more fun and did better gybes. A trip to Simon for a new boom is planned for tomorrow.

Went for the 1hr but dropped a gybe near manly, I am guessing I stopped to early with sore hands from yesterday.

Great NM Brad thats awesome.

Someone accidentally threw down a big gear gauntlet yesterday Tongue out

Went out to see how much I could wind out of the big gear in the chop at wello, been having a bit of trouble finding the speed I know this combo capable of so armed with a few ideas I tweaked an extra knot or two out of the day.

Would have liked alpha to be a bit better today but then I'm not quite carving enough around and struggling to pull the sail in from downwind, getting there though.

Hi Richard, glad you found the #%$ keys this time. I practice NM alot, best runs always seem to be from manly to wello or wello to lota. Just need to be powed up & prepared to sail on the edge weaving through the swells, & being strong enough to hold it all together for 3 plus minites.

Just got home after see the Avatar movie, it's one long movie & a little over ratted  imo.

Over rated?  I thought it rocked- alot of levels and a sh!toad of work would have gone into it.  It possibly could have been a bit shorter instead of spelling everything out though.
