5413 days ago With the river bound to be a shambles today, decided to head to Safety Bay or Woodies if the wind was quite strong. When it didn't look like being much over 20kts, decided to save the drive and headed to Leighton.
Had a really fun session, with a fairly steady 16-20knots seabreeze, which swung westerly for a while then back SW. Initially thought about going for an hour but didn't, but after a while thought a distance PB might be the go. Last session was the best, sailing for about 1:20 non stop. Knew by looking at the GPS that I had easily bested my previous distance PB but now was worried the battery was about to go flat, so just kept going until my hands just gave up.
Leighton was incredibly flat today, which was great for big off the wind runs. Headed up to Port Beach a couple of times and also Sausageland but the stink was a bit noxious so didn't hang around long. Had Steve from WF and John ? for company early then Murray Pickering and had some lovely off the wind drags with him.
