Benny (603km): Lucky Bay with Garry Bray and Jet. Started off with ISO 94, 5.5 Overdrive, 30 weed. That board just scares the bejesus outa me. It goes like a bat outa hell. I can see this is going to be a long slow learning curve for me. Probably painfull as well.Oh well,so be it. Changed to Futura 111 later. It was like putting on a pair of old comfy fluffy slippers.Love that board.
Garry Baker (1340km): 130 excite ride 5.2 combat wave sail 34 choco fin
Jet (3571km): frustrating day at lucky bay. tide very low so had to go through the chop. surprised to get that speed where i was. brayden managed to find all the good gusts, but i was always in the wrong place at the wrong time. used carbon art sp40, 5.5 overdrive and 20cm weedy. tried brayden's gear and got smashed. his sail was probably a bit big for me in the conditions (6.2m). veerrrrryyyy tired afterwards. hope i can get another day like this (idealy with a high tide) this summer, to do some even better speeds.
Brayden Baker (2198km): sweet arvo at lucky bay really low tide witch made it hard but it worked to my advantage. ran a 6.2 rs racing evo II and a jp 45 speed with a jp 24 fin. had some luck gusts just on the edge of the sand befor it got to shallow. |
