5375 days ago Kyeemagh, 20-25kts NE. F2 SX Med, North Natural 5.8m, JP Slalom 36cm fin.
Had a good sail. nice sea breeze this afternoon. A bit holey towards the end but good for the bulk of the sail.
Debated with myself taking the 6.7m out instead but probably made the right call with the 5.8m. The 5.8m North Natural doesn't really lend itself to going fast so I decided to focus on my gybing today and was getting some improvement there. NM contained 2 gybes.
I hope this isn't the last nice sea breeze of the season...

5375 days ago Late get out after spending weekend landscaping. Gusty as at first but calmed down to some nice decent wind at last.
Finally got to use something smaller than a 7.8. Most of the boys had already sailed by the time I got there. Wind was dying as I came in.
Good fun to be powered for awhile.

5375 days ago Day 2, Heat 7 Husskison. Slalom day! Finally christened the Futura 93. We had three slalom races in winds from around 10-15kts. I was really underpowered and struggled to plane let alone make it around a slalom course. I needed either an additional 1m2 + 20ltrs or 5kts.
Really loved the futura when the gusts hit. Really controllable in the chop compared to the old board. Cant wait to get it out in a decent 20kts.

Late sail due to recovering from late night on the cans.Missed the best of the wind.Hopeless.Full of holes.zero wind then 25 knot gusts.Felt like a westerly.Great to get out on the little carbon art,man i love that board, wish it would blow strong to use it more often.Still was good to be out on the water.Cracked nose now on the CA...grrrrrrrr

5375 days ago 1 categories huskisson, jervis Bay heat 7 NSW windsurfing series
some fairly ordinary slalom racing to start the day off, really struggled to keep the board going.
Naturally when a formula race was called the wind kicked in, still very patchy but much better racing with a few interesting moments. Wouldn't be surprised if my better speeds were done on the formula board.

Starboard S-Type 104, Loft Switchblade 6.8, 35cm Select fin
First day on the Switchblade and very happy with it! Super stable in the gusts, and plenty of power low down - it's easy to carry more sail area as it's not trying to tip you over. Very easy through the gybes. I was hoping for a building NEer, to see how far I could push it, but the wind went the other way. Had a great afternoon tyring to keep up with Keef of the Double Demerits.

Had to leave after lunch as the white caps started & the boys were having fun.
Such a good place to sail

5360 days ago 2 categories Kyeemagh. Gusty NE, so many holes. Spanners and I missed the best of it because we were too hung over after a killer wedding the night before. Got there rigged up, turned on the gps - flat battery. It spent half of the session in the car charging. Only had it on for the last bit. Hard to get a really consistany fast speed, the wind would be cranking and then just stop suddenly. I've sailed in better westerlies i reckon. Ah well, good to be out on the water.
