It's not a spike!!! Nice slingshot in to the chop, unfortunately didn't hold on lang enough to make it also a good run, and should have made more attempts.  Really stoked with te accelaration and top speed of this board and sail, especcially downwind.

Mijn respect!

As a ex timekeeper u should know better Frank .

i't's impossible to accelerate more then 2,5m/s and i heard u did 3,5 or something like that so u must be superman this is defenitly an error of some kind . Now you are making a joke out of GPS-speedsailing

with a 34cm fin and 62wide board common

sometimes you want to believe things to much to be true that u start to believe in it urself but in ur subconcense u know it's not true

Opperhoofd will varify the PB as required, so no problem HansWink.

@Hans

Acceleration wasn't over 2.5 m/s (but 3 seconds with between 1.6 and 2.1 gave the result)

Track has been checked by several people (including GPS-SS timekeepers) before I even started to believe in the results.  For sure the track is availbale by the timekeepers fro further investigation by the tech group if needed.

Just a lucky run on a perfect board with no speed limit...

@Frank can you send me your track hanskreisel666(at)hotmail(dot)com.
And i'll prove you and everybody that it's a spike.
I would love to say it's 100% fine but i just can't believe it that u accelerate faster with a 34cm fin than i and a lot of other topriders do with a 24 or smaller on a speedboard and also decellerate that fast .

@Hans,

Many speeds and distances posted (incluing this one)  I also cant believe, but I have to accept these are verified and checked by the timekeepers and techgroup, and as I have made the track file avaibele to them I hope you respect that I wait for them to react.

I'm glad to see other people notice strange speed differences spikes or not! But anyone that feels the need to tweek them is a fool to themselfs because at the end of the day there is no money in this its just for fun.

So on that note don't be bitter Hans you need 2 times for the day on GPSTC and if it makes a big difference on GPSSS then well the only person that is being fooled is Frank.

But!!! i say well done Frank and good speed for the day.Smile

Knowing Frank very well I can assure that he would never post this speed if he wasn't completely certain. Look at his number of posts on Gpsss... The figures speak for them self. Congratulation on this outstanding effort Frank.

We have extensively analysed Frank's track, and support the numbers he has posted.

40kg weight jacket would work!

Choco, details from GPSSS on Frank's gear.  Nebs says its okay too, so all good.  Frank's track has definately caused a minor stir with a 50/50 split on its validity.  I'm sitting on the fence though as I have very limited knowledge on this very technical issue.

Board - Angulo Magnum 62, 2010

Sail - Hotsails GPS 6.0, 2010
Fin - Choco Fins Fireblade 34
