Well I think that was my first after work session of the year...just goes to show how poor the wind conditions have been.

Enjoyable to be out (even though it was cloudy ha ha!) and the wind was fairly solid so the 7.2m was ample for me at times.  Struggled to find any flat areas particularly as the wind swung more onshore (northerly).

Looks like that will be it for a few days so I'm stoked I downed tools and went for it!

gusty and choppy but nice to have a session fully powered up at last even though it was with my biggest kit.Starting to get more tuned on the sails - handled the gusts very well. took my phone with me as I was doing some long distance runs...bad move - its now drying out on the radiator!

Great 2 hr after work session.  Rigged big as 15kts when I arrived but it soon filled in and so I well powered up most of the time.

Went on a bit of a cruise trying to get a good 1hr - initially headed upwind to Whitell and blasted around there for a while before going broad to get back which involved a few hairy moments in the bumpy stuff near the peninsula.

For future reference when windier, flat water and best speeds were in front of the Whitwell point on North Arm and in front of West creek Moorings on South Arm.

PB for 1hr and Nautical mile so well chuffed but gutted I couldn't stay longer as I had to head over to Leicester to watch my Cousin sing on her latest tour - www.marthatilston.co.uk/.

Hope he has as long as we get more wind! Be nice to be able to compete as a whole country for once no luck so far been a 1 or 2 horse race as such so far. El Squirrell i wrap my aquapack in duck tape and just leave the display empty works well for me bud.

Especially the crashes i have.Embarassed

That is a bugger about the phone Rik, I put my GPS and, when I take one my phone, into snack sized snap lock bags, then even when thre is some water getting into the  Aqupack ( or whichever model) the electronics stay dry. It has worked for me on 2 occasions when my Aquapack leaked, once when I managed to put a small hole in it and once when I did not do it upEmbarassed

yeah i should have put it in the aquapack, lesson learned! I was just sailing in Poole Harbour, which is fairly choppy in general but very good for blasting around and getting some distance in. You can do some long reaches - 2 miles + and there's always land around you for when something breaks Surprised
