Nice afternoon. At last serious wind. John Tuin did a 82 max. A lot of Dutch speedees went to Horst. My second best this year.
Hoped for a PB but in my fastest run lost the grip on the boom and crashed with 68km/h. Not nice.

5184 days ago Yes yes, pee erren!

5184 days ago Didn't get the speed out of the boards don't what it is was. Was able to miss al the really strong gusts and was cold and had no feeling and strnght in my body. More luck next time.

5184 days ago 1 categories And again a great session! I had a lot of fun with Roger and his gadgets :D :D The first run was the fastest. I didn't want to go downwind but decided to go. A bit chicken mode as I wasn't ready when the gust hit me. So I was very surprised with a 70+ run. After 2 more runs I did some matchracing and alphas, the speeds didn't bother me. I tried Eriç Baardmans board, a Sonic 85. This one is a good alpha racing board. Next time it would be very nice to have better markers in the water. Only 3 meters too much for a 49.2 for a valid alpha... :( :( Rogers mastcam is great! :) :) when seeing the results of my teammates I had to make more speedruns. Willem Jan Heutink is fast but was unlucky with his equipment today (although the crash-facelift did him good ;) ) Let's hope Menno Barkmeijer and Robert Seinen did some good speeds. In about 30 days my winterbreak starts, we need more windy days!!

5182 days ago 1 categories First time in 4 years on a real speedboard. Last time was the isonic 50, now the Missile XS.
Conditions looked perfect to increase my PR's, but the number of occasions where you can use such a small board are really seldom too. Decisions decisions.. took the Missile XS.
Of course I was already too late for the best wind and strongest gusts (got onto the water at 15:30 - story of my life, had to work first). Then had to fiddle with the footstraps.
After all there was 1 gust (short one) I managed to take. Not enough for a reasonable average; but sufficient to know what this board is capable of - with me on top of it that is ;) Unbelievable the acceleration you get, when you have the board trimmed right.
Must admit I was a bit intimidated at start by the board's behavior in chop. Different piece of cake than the Manta 54, which is extremely well behaved. This board is more... uuhm... lively. But the 76 peak was done the one time I let the board run free over washboard chop (to the outside!).
