Quite a nice days sailing. Almost spring like with the sun out and the water just starting to warm up a bit. Smile  I just sailed the IS87 Slalom board today with the 2010 KA 5.7 and Lessacher Duo Speed Weed 28. All the gear was firing really well in these conditions. Wind around 18-25kts WSW to West. Went for a 1 hour straight up as the wind was a bit WSW but it shifted West about half way through. Also tried a few Alphas accross the inlet and Gybing at the speed bank but they weren't the good. Craig, Mal and I sailed down to Sandy 'B' which was really sweet. Almost square to the wind and quite smooth. Just a bit of turbulance off some small dunes at the Northern end. Tried a couple of Alphas and a NM but the best NM was up the normal course area with a gybe and run north at the end. I had another I hour attempt and did better with my best alpha 500 during that! Craig found some fishing lines which mucked his up a bit. I told him he wasn't allowed to leave the inlet without backing my 1 hour up. Frown Hope he managed it. Best I hour was at Sandy B. Also the best I have done by far in this little wind with a 5.7m sail. The best part of the run is a bit short though. It took 53 gybes to do it!Surprised

Feeling suitably weary now. Laughing

Another great day at the Pit with some of the crew. Had a few members from the Inverloch Windsurfing Club join us today for a flat water sail. For some their first look at the Pit, lots of smiles and a few Pbs. Not the easist day to sail ,wind was very west at 18-25 wsw which made it very broard and hard to sail back. Spent the first few hours with the guys ,not sailing that much untill the arvo and went down to Sandy point B with Daffy and Mal. Had a few runs into a 1hr and then tagged 4 fishing line draped out the back of a @#$%^%$#boat owner who decieded it would be great to trawl along the speed bank. I should have broken the lines but I was well behaved and removed them from the sail, fin helmet, gopro. $%$#@!!! Off we go again,2 jybes latter, snap goes the boom @@##@#$# it was lucky,i was unhooked about to jybe when it went,so loooong trek back to the car park to get a new one. 4.5km and i hate walking. New boom, feeling stuffed Daffy comes up and say "We need someone to do a one hr" Back to the water...1hr latter and more stuffed .....done.

Suprised about the 2 sec, the Sl52 gets along and the nm again so close to a 30. 1 week to go then its 2 weeks of speedsailing. Carn,t wait.Cool Sl52,Ka 5.8,C3 Vemon 30
