Now hate the Drake fin, think I did 5 miles whle spinning out. One spin out the nose caught while trying to get it back, heard a crack when I hit the boom. $0Couple of runs later heard a bigger crack and that was teh end of the boom.$0 $0Borrowed a boom but it felt all wrong, think I would have got another 20nm with a boom I was familiar with. The first half hour with the new one I used my arms far too much.$0

Pleasant day at Salty Lake...went out to do a bit of distance and alphas (which got worse as the old knees began to protest!).  Still trying to get a Vmax of 30knts on the Isonic 111--getting closer!

Just looked at the wind data from the wall, wasnt that windy at all, 20knot average for most of the day. Really pleased I got the new board going for a while in 20knots or even less sometimes, means it will get lots of time on the water :D

Come on Normski!!!!!! I think his distance will move us up a bit.

Thanks Swags. Don't understand how Camel does it on that little board! Hope the boom survived that impact with the buoy Steve! You do need a bigger board. Was disappointed with mile till I realised theres a gybe in the middle, has the harbour got smaller?

Spencer...well done on your Pb's.  Your new X15 sail seems to fit well with the Kode.   Good team turn out, and we had a couple of team PBs BUT we still didn't get any closer to sinking any of the Dutch fleet!   Probably helped UK batting average for the September Ashes though!

NORMAN, IAN, LEE Great effort chaps, sorry i couldnt back anyone up today i had a little go but have still got some feet issues going on from weds. Mustnt complain though because its nothing compared to what the swagger pushes himself through my god that mans tough.

Nice to see the camel warming up to be the B team skipper again aswell.

Cheers.

Dont understand a couple of things - my distance works out as 67nm, yet the gps read 73. Normski's closely matched his gps readout.

I did have to wait an hour for a boom to be collected and dropped off and I know the gps reads within 5m ish when stationary so can give distance even when stationary, but surely this isnt 5-6 miles difference.

I guess it gives me an easier target for next time though.

You put me to shame Normski! Brilliant effort.

Still havent beaten my 28.88 top from back in first week of aug on a fanatic freewave with wavesail! New fin should sort that out I hope.

See you all next windy day (as long as its not tomorrow :D )

Well done on all the Pbs. Nice distance, Spencer bugger about the boom. Sweet alpha, Camel.

Spencer check your min speed settings in both software and GPS. For example I seem to remember reading GPSS auto upload cuts out any speed below 5 knots.

Well you know me anything for the team Pete.

Sometimes i just wonder how i manage to travel from home all the way round the harbour to park up must be at most 3 miles round trip,

And as for the sailing lucky the wife was there one time had to push me out of the water in wheelchair and drive us home! Bless her gave me a chance to get some sleep on the journey home though.

To be continued.....
