Sailquik (29582km): CA 40, KA assy 20cm, 5m Koncept I was again too late (or lazy) to sail the NW in the morning. Had two runs on the SW course before the tide got too high. Came back just before dark and had 3 more runs just to get a 5 x 10 sec. Well done Dave in the PB's!
Seahorse (2398km): Tuesday Speed Fortnight - freezing cold - hail - standing in a wetsuit all day. Almost hypothermic by the end of the day. Last run was the best though.... Hard work - and a bit scary riding the 6.5m in the 2nd squall of the day. 6.5m Stealth, CA SL58 (early) CA SP44 (later) - Venom 34 (early - thanks again Kato) and KA 23Assy (later). Very happy with both fin / board combos. Really loving the switch to CA boards.
Peter Johnston (8869km): Only got three runs on the speed run and spun out and crashed while still winding up on the third run. Best run was first one in a good squall with only 4 of us ready to go - didn't feel fully powered though. Really tiring cold day with lots of time waiting for the three decent squalls and lots of walking up the run. Lorch 63L with C3 Slingshot 19 and JP Slalom 84L with 23cm KA assy. KA Koncept 5m.
kato (37642km): COLD and lots of walking and waiting. Did 2 runs on the CA 40,Ka/Loc 20,Ka 5.8 for the whole day |
