bloody windy, bloody choppy. Gusts of I reckon 35 odd. Too much for me and a 5.8 but i didn't bring my 5.0. Bummer

Still fun.

Strongest NE I've ever sailed in !

Proper sail today ! One of Remi's TR4's, 5.5M2. Sooooo good ! ! !

Shame I ran out of energy just as the strongest gusts were hitting.

Massive wipeout at 29.9 knots. Ouch ! Surprised

And my best time was actually away from the airport ! Leading into a gybe behind the stone wall north of the shark net at Kyeemagh.

Also had a bit of trouble with the lay-down gybe attempts. Kept getting water over my inside foot and stacking it. Probably have to lean further forward... Any good instructional videos around? i've not found any specifically for lay-downs.

Great blast. Shame I couldn't last/stay any longer.

Berowne.

Kyeemagh South Ramp.

Short blast with the Futura 93 and NP RSS 5.5. Needed a smaller sail!!! Very windy. Happy with my speed considering the chop.

Kyeemagh, 15-25 NE gusts around 30

Starboard S-Type 126, Loft Switchblade 8.5, 40cm Curtis fin

Starboard S-Type 104, Loft Switchblade 6.8, 30cm Select Viper fin

Great Noreaster today - when the waterski races finally ended that is. Had a couple of runs with Andrew Rogan. The runway was veeeery choppy today, just couldn't go as fast as I should have. Rigged too big - too lazy to change down a third time. Big grins all round!

Kyeemagh, NSW, AU. 25-35knts NE.

F2 SX Med, 36cm JP Slalom fin, North Natural 5.8m.

A bit wild and wooley today.  Wind was stronger than forecast so got caught with the wrong sails.  Just brought down the 6.7 and 7.8m at first but the head cap blew out while rigging the 6.7m so I had to trek home to get the 5.8m.  Turned out to be a blessing in disguise because by the time I got back the wind had picked up a fair bit.  Mental note - don't be so lazy next time and pack more gear in the car...

Spent the first part of the sail trying to keep up with Mike T but he's just too quick and gybes like nobody's busniess so I gave that up after a while and headed up to the runway in search of smoother water.  Wind was too square to make runs alongside the runway viable but the water in the corner was flatter.

narrabeen lake, only had an hour to play today

F2 SX 106, RSR II 7.0, Select S05 38

12-28knots i think? Fairly gusty but as far as the lake goes it wasnt half bad, shame i couldnt back up a few faster runs to get the 5x10 up. There was a couple of fairly hairy runs out there, surprisingly as i went out every one came in & went home?

Kyeemagh  NE 20-36 knots

Drops SX Slalom 8'10"  Neil Pryde RS Racing 6.2  Techtonics Falcon 30

Nice quick run up in the corner, the rest was a bit choppy.

Tried to break everything again.....spun out on a gybe caught the rail, triple somersault under water, scared the shit out of Chris Ting.

Great speeds Craig - Congrats!

Where abouts in Kurnell did you get the 2 sec? Behind the sandbar at the mouth of Quibray bay?

[edit:] Looks like you had a big trek across the bay - that's one way to get around the parking issue at Kyeemagh. Great tracks!

Sailing from kurnell up wind to airport was pretty fun.

Sailing from airport downwind to kurnell was bloody scary. Hitting 2 foot swells at 25 knots when your fully lit up is not fun. didnt help my legs were pretty much exhausted by that stage.  luckily only had a few minor crashes on the way back when i spun out on landings.
