Hardies Run, WA, AU

Nice hour run at Hardies with Recycle.

Fully loaded on 2011 6.6 Koncept with 08 F2 SXS and 32 Talon. Had a fall when I was outhauling the sail to flatten it as the wind inceased - came unhooked and had one hand on the boom and one on the outhaul rope at about 30 knots - resulted in the inevitable weather-vane slam!!

John blew the head cap out on his 6.7 but was having another shot with the 6.2 when I left - expecting big things!!

Pt Walter with a good crew out. Wind strength similar to Thurs with a bit more south in it. Same setup and having a ball on it. EIII 7.0m, Nude 68/110L, CL32sl. Stoked with how fast this board goes considering its size. Maybe the speed board might have been a little bit quicker on peak speed if I was lucky enough to be in the right position with the gusts. But I was able to sail pretty much wherever I wanted on the big board and was smoking through the lulls and out of some pretty tight gybes. I'm thinking that for lighter days, this is the setup for Pt Walter...

Pt Walter, W49, 6.2 Reflex, 23 Delta,

A little underpowered with the speed board but did manage to hook in a couple of nice gusts.

Hardies with 25 for the hr was on a smoker just over half way through when the head cap let go ,was on the other side (8ks )of the estuary thankfully elmo had given me a lesson in  jerry rigging the last time this happened and point out the benifit of having a little bit o spare rope in ya harness pocket cheers alby,it was one very slow uncomfortable  leg back to carpark, rigged 6.2 but just could not get comfy and had spent to much energy earlier, pretty happy with hr considering it included the up wind legs to the start point, the 40 odd mins I had completed of the intended hr was over 27knts and was about to start the serious down wind bit oh what could have been!!,
