Vando (58438km): Wellington Point, QLD, AU Typical got down after work and the wind died . There was abit of wind out the back but I Only had my small gear with me. Phil kindly offered me ago on his Blade 7.8 CA 62 he was interested what i thought of it rigged on a X9 mast. I dredged out to the wind line and got planning sail felt good stable very light in my hands. Then a squally come through sail felt great it just kept accelerating so i thought i go for a NM kinda held back abit didn't want to crash Phils gear. Looked down at the GPS and had 34.95 on the dial pretty surprised how easy i did it out the back of wello. Cam Rotation was pretty good as well very acceptable for a Race sail Rigged on a SDM mast not quite as easy as on a RDM but still pretty good. So thumbs up Phil great combo with the CA62 thanks for the loan. wind pretty much died after the squall so I headed back in. Pretty happy in the end 20min sail is better than none.

ODIN (38126km): Anthor good day sailing at wello but pretty much buggered after 2 days of sailing but got to try out the new SL-S 34 and this is a sweeeet fin really handles the chop well and keeps the board nice and balanced .. After fine tunning the combo decided to do some off the wind runs out in the bay following the swell and i can say it was really hectic out there earlier on but manage to squeeze some good runs in and pretty happy with the preformance out in that messy stuff , getting prepared for the downwinder comp so no dedicated speed runs today on our little spot , just cruising and tunning... At times the 7.0 did get a bit of a handfull but allrounder it worked well ,

phil (50139km): Thought I would be smart and rig up 2 whole rigs. Ended up drifting on the 7.8 one minute, then nearly overpowered on the 5.3. Just a washing machine out the back and mostly offshore. Put a lot of downhaul on the 7.8 and gave a great wind range. Well done Vando on that NM- definately showed me up on my own gear but good to get some feedback on how the 7.8 goes. I love it too Wellington Point, QLD, AU | ||||||||||||||||||
Boombuster (66243km): Wellington Point, QLD, AU What a up & down windy arvo I stuck with the big gear all arvo at times it was a matter of waiting for the wind to ease then at times it was ok I had a few very hairy times in the gusts. Pore Phil changed about 5 times others waited watching wondering what size to rig then when they came out it died off sorry Sean you stuffed up should have came out earlier. CA70 Loft 7.7 Venom42 |
