I did pretty good hours for 7,8 Evo III and a 112 JP Slalom. Jacques did the rest for the team congrats with the Worldrecord mate!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pffff.....afterwork session.... No wind, a few gusts, had 1 decent run in the chop of the channel.

Maybe i should have done the 2 hour drive to the other spot. Better luck next time.

Waited a long time for the perfect day to improve my personal best in distance.

Never never expected to have the commitment and energy to do this.

Thanks to all the other guys to motivate me to go on, the first 5 hours i was sailing alone in the rain. This helped me a lot to keep the boom wet and my face fresh.

André Mook (2393km):

After work sailing. It was fun.

Wow!! Great surfing Jacques!!

521 km in 13:12 hours sailing, without counting breakes. Thats almost 40 km/h (21+ knots). Just amazing!!

Did you know this combo (JP V112, RSR EVO 3 7.8, Hurricane M40) was THE gear for you for breaking the distance record?

Jacques, awesome effort you have knocked off our world record holder. Down here in Tassie we're getting close to winter and the winds become unreliable but I can garrantee Dave Morehead and Kaleb Smith will give you stiff competion next season, Dave will be busting to get it back

cheers from Tassie

Magnificent effort Jacques. Congratulations.

Please tell us where??  so we can have a look at the spot on Google Earth. Maybe post a plot!

What was your total mission time - I see someone said 13 hours 12 mins not counting breaks - what was your start and finish times for the day??

Fantastic stuff - no one can dispute you are top dog on GPSTC! Congrats again.

Thanks for al the nice words, but afterwards i can say that i'm sure many people can reach this, you just have to go for it and try to come in this flow and sail without your brains on the automatic pilot. My only goal was to improve my personal best of 232 km to get some more points in distance to beat my buddy Hans in the individual rankings. I never thought about doing this much distance, but i'm happy i did.

Tomorrow i will write my story and try to include some google earth images of the track. I was sailing with 2 gsp devices, maybe i can put the track online somewere?

Jacques,  Congratulations ,fantatastic surfing with a world record as a result  .  Respect for those numbers . Your right what you say about long distance :

but afterwards i can say that i'm sure many people can reach this, you just have to go for it and try to come in this flow and sail without your brains on the automatic pilot.

I 100% agree with this, its as simpel as it is.

The waiting on the perfect day is the hardest part.

For us Belgians, Jacques is supernatural !

I did 421 km in 4 days just now so I can not really imagine doing 521 in 1 day ...

I was also surfing that day, and I can assure, it was not hot ... specially in the morning rain.

So, many congrats Jacques.
