Mike G (11070km):
Wow... what a great day at the Kirb! I drove up last night then went for a great curry with Paul B and Ian R. £9.95 for 3 courses and very tasty too! We turned up at the lake pretty early today but didn't get on the water until around 09:30. My first run was a bit slow due to badly positioned harness lines (wrong by six inches) but after that I felt like I was sailing well. I did a total of 20 runs and only two were under 40 knots. All in all, several of my PBs were broken including a new peak of 42.84 knots (+1.8) and my first 40 knot session average with 40.25 knots (+1.6). Super stoked! It was great to see so many familiar faces and some new ones from overseas. Thanks Paul B for putting me up overnight, Neil H for the weight jacket and Daz for his lead weights.

Ben Tilston (3051km): Couldn't get the whole day off work to make the trip to WK but managed to hit the lake mid afternoon. Rigged my smallest freeride kit and had a blast :-). Was a bit underpowered to start with bu the last hour was pretty full on with some massive swell coming down the arm. Rutland / W 30-40kts / JP FSW 93 76 / Blade 5.0 / Freestyle 21

Peter Cutts (6766km): Lovely sunny day in Gruissan but not quite enough wind -rigged 7 mtr had a play then it got up abit so tried for a good 1 hour session -- sailing to Port novelli about 3.5 miles - an back - but kept getting weed on the fin croosing the river mouth and slipped off the old axis couple of times (no boots left them at Lac Salaqou !) so no PB then :-(   Getting windy now but had to pack up as grumpy little women in the van - |
