Another absolute crap session if you can call it that. Hope this is not an indication to our east cost weather pattern this summer coming. Got planing twice I think but at least it is a lovely spot and the company wasn't too bad.   Cool Think I might have the edge on my old mate today?Hope that he posts and I can win a schooner off himLaughing

Another play at the Pit. Managed to get the Ca 40 out and dust off the cobwebs, very rusty on it and took a long time to get dialed in. Very west squally wind and all my best runs were done on the high tide motor cross track. Had 1 crazy ride with a big spinout in the middle, got it straight and ran a 41 peak. Soon we,ll get a day with the wind and tide right. Howling right now Yell

I missed it due to commitment to Ski Club AGM. Thought I would be able to make it for the last couple of hours but as it turned out I only got two runs in tricky high tide conditions.

On the first run whilst trying to find where the water was deep enough, I felt myself dragging the fin in the (very soft luckily!) sand. Surprised Bit of a fright and slowed me about 5 knots. As soon as I got out of it I peaked at just over 40, so I have proved to myself yet again that it is a bad idea. Thankfully I didn't go over the front!

I tried the new 2012 5.0m Koncept and it was very interesting. The runs felt like mid 30's but both peaked over 40. The sail felt very light and easy when locked into the run. With a bit of time and tuning I think it might let me take a significant step forward. Smile

Rickets, 6.6 2012 Koncept hauling us along, SL 119L FO40fin, choppy swell smashing runs with a over the handle bars crash after hitting a long length of plastic wrap with the fin.

Nice sail at ricketts. Too messy to go fast (although Spotti still does)  Good to see lots of boards on the water.

Bit of this, bit of that session, but awesome outing for the new 2012 KA Koncept 4.4. Wind was maxing at about 30knots, so only felt about 80% powered up. Can't wait to run this beast in 35+!

My fitness has improved but still off the pace with my speeds. Not the easiest of  conditions - quite a lot of rolling swell down the run - mucho kudos to Ado for pulling off such serious speed despite the choppy run.

Ended up being a long day as we got stuck in by the high tide and had to hang about for an hour for the tide to drop enough to get the cars out - didn't get home until midnight!

Blasted about up Yanakie way a few times to try for some NMs but the wind was a  bit holey for consistent speed. Didn't actually get many speed runs in the end.
