Nice sail today with a few of the Bonno crew, been a while since I have sailed there on a decent sw and I had forgoten how hard it can be out the back.

Nice to sail with the crew at bonno. Unfortunately I came too late and missed the best wind. Was really crap after I had rigged up, but at least after a wait it did get better and I got some planing runs. Even slow sub-planing no probs to go through the break today, I think I have figued out the gaps by now :).

Bonbeach, VIC, AU, Boxing day at Bonno with most of the crew, almost a tradition.Smile Nice sail after the rain stopped after noon, started with the Hellcat 6.2 and the Rocket but it all became very scary out at the back half way through the session, sail mostly locked in and not really able to slow down to negotiate the chop was hard yakka. Changed to Simon's 6.2 Goya wave style sail which made it way easier to manage. Last run out enjoyed a wash in the shore break and as I finally broke through had to schlogg back in and then walk back as a reward, I thought it's time to pack up. Great to hear that the boys had some good runs after that.

A great bump and jump session with the crew. Regardless of the other comments I thought the chop/wave were a bit small for good high jumping.

I think some of the Bonno Blasters need some more time at home ground in the different conditions.

hey Jerry , the smaller board is very good in the chop , the new rdm gorilla mast makes the riging stiffer , sailing with longer harness lines 24 "  to  22" it  feels like  my arms are to short . for the first 2 hours i was trimming the riging, now its good.

its nice to sail "close " to the pro's , and see how relaxed windsurfing in the chop can be, if techniques and trim are right.

about the size of the chop, it was not what i call big, still nice easy  with 6 m sail and a lot of fun.

i wait for sw wind where i am on 4.5m sail and get hammerd, blastered and belted.Laughing
