Narrabeen Lake, NSW, AU

starboard 101, maui tr3 6.6, 34 drake fin

Patchy, wnw, wsw, w, a very confusing sail. But theres nothing confusing about Sam smoking my arse. Your lucky i broke my boom sam as i was coming for ya.Foot in mouth lamo, not. Theres no catching that rocket!

Anyway another week another boom. "you've done well my trusty stead, but we both know this was coming". Hopefully theres some nicely curved booms for you in heavan so you can get your FREAK ON..... Laterz pal

Now to buisness. Whos got a carbon for me? lol

Lake Illawarra, NSW, AU  101L Falcon 5.5 Rs Ev11 & Leo's 22cm spweedy. First time here, great place to sail with friendly locals (Keef thanx for lunch and sorry for taking your GPS) Started off well but it picked quickly to around 30knts and a bit choppy, i pushed as hard as i could as i was sure i could pull some good numbers but i smashed myself in the face with the mast and never really felt right after that. Thanx Leo for the fin, i was happy with how i went on it as it's the smallest fin ive ever used before, and i haven't gone well on small fins before. I wouldn't really want to used a much bigger fin for there as a lot of the lake is shallow, i think a smaller board would be the go to.

Foreshore Drive  WSW 20-35 knots

Drops Slalom SX 8'10"  North Warp F2012 7.0  Tectonics Falcon 28

Very very gusty and shifty. Very tight on port and starboard most of the time. But some nice runs.

You would think the Airport Security would have better things to do than to hide behind small sheds waiting for me to throw a bomb on the runway. No planes use that runway in that wind direction.

Foreshore Rd, Botany, NSW, AU

Jp slalom / H2 6.2 / 32 fin - damn gusyt out there but had a few good runs - pity the wind out at the end of the runway had huge holes making NM hard to do.

Jesus, amazing speed Rick, especially considering how gusty it was. No idea how you hold a 7m sail down in 30-35kt gusts, let alone sheet in and go for speed - wish I could have been there to see it!

top work boys, and nicely done rick.  Good to see foreshore drive back to its best again after what seemed likes years and years of construction.  Some fond memories of super flat water there, more so than Kyeemagh I think.

sweet session on a 7.0 + Drops slalom boardSurprised....do they still make them or is that an oldie you've kept?

Bossman

NSW
Australia
4696 days ago

Its an oldie I kept, I sold the 9' but I wont ever let the 8'10" go. Carbon and Kevlar they dont make them like that anymore.....and best of all it wasnt made in the Cobra factory. I have a Carbon Art 44 and a Naish Speed Pro 60 but I only feel safe using them somewhere like Sandy Point.

You know what Rick, even though you're still using a 'Foretrex' that is some shit hot speeds my friend. I don't know if the Cockies have EVER had a 40knot 2 sec average so great backing up Leo. In fact congrats to everyone on what looks like a bloody windy day. Sorry I wasn't there too but I'm lounging on Coolangatta beach having a MASSIVE dirty old man perv Tongue outCool
