AndySails (33667km): Urangan, QLD, AU JP slalom viii 68; Ezzy infinity 6.5; S12 39cm: Looked too westerly for Burrum and wanted to try Urangan in a SW. Looked good from the shore, so Baz, John and I headed out. Baz lasted about 5 mins and knocked-off early after finding way too much air time! John was flying, congrats on the PB John - top job in the choppy conditions! The run from West to East was okay, but the return run was a shocker with lots of stand-up wave sets. Hope Ray and Darryl had a better run...
Hooray (11618km): Burrum Heads. Exo RS4, 7m warp, 37.5BP. Gusty W.S.W. Another 20% to the south would have been nice. Mals 5th year here looking for the N.M.run, but just will not happen for him.(next time Mal). Thanks for the company Darryl. Another Pb Shillo, keep em coming.
starboardsailor (32798km): Burrum Heads, QLD, AU RRD 112 Blade 7.8 Select 37 Went in search of some flat water at Burrum, none to be found on the speed strip,(wind was too westerley).Went back up the river to spot X that we used last year in a westerley and managed to find about 200m of smooth water.Well worth the drive for that little bit of heaven, next time i'll sail straight arcross instead of going on the speed strip. Ray sorry about the early start, but it was worth it. John well done on amother pb.
Jeffro (21224km): Lake Cootharaba, QLD, AU. What a gusty day with SSW wind on & off. Just can't wait to get my hands on a digital sail so it adjusts for the gusts & lulls. It has been a while since I have sailed so it was good to be out there with a few locals and Gaz & Pete up from the central coast of NSW. Hopefully tomorrow will be (a lot) more consistent. iS 86, Ezzy 6.0 & Sting 30. Oh, forgot to mention that I am happy with the alpha. All those gybes laying awake in bed are starting to pay dividends! Too bad we can't get offa da bottom! |
