Inverloch, VIC Au

Massive day yesterday (grand final & purchased my first house!!) so woke with a massive hangover... needless to say slow to get going.  Got away by 10 and was at Sandy Pt by 10:35 just as everyone finished packing up.  So turned back around and headed back home to Invy.  Turned out to be a great fun sail on the inlet.  Borrowed Daz's sail as i havent replaced my big boom yet for my 7.4.

Isonic 101, 7.5 Severne NCX - used MFC RC400 fin (Pretty shite fin) then switched to True Ames 34cm weedie when water got to shallow for the pointer.  Its fair to say its the shittest fin in the world - anyone want to buy it off me?  Actually, i'll pay someone to take itUndecided.

WOOP, WOOP, WOOP !!!

What a HUGE session... haven't had soooo much fun in ages...

KA Koyote 7.4, JP Super Sport Pro 118 with JP Seaweed 37 (?)cm.

My first session spent all day in the straps & harness belting around the inlet.  Thanks to Mick & Postie Pete for an express delivery of a UJ that went kaput... then managed to leave Pete in my dust !!  Sorry Pete  Cool  I know there'll be payback !!

Great time, didn't want to get off the water... in fact I didn't, went back on for a third session with Dan P as the sand bank came back up. Wink

Laughing Although I earned a blister on my right foot courtesy of a tight rear strap, I still can't get the grin off my face...

Another good day at the inlet, with a great turnout of sailors. 110L X-Cite with 6.5 Gaastra was good for most of the day, but no records set. Wind dropped out at times, then pretty much died after 3pm. Pretty cold though.

Fireman Sam - I'm most impressed by your 64Km!  Astounding!

LOCATION:  ANGLING CLUB

WIND W-SW- 12-18 kts with W shift

High TIde

GEAR:  Ca Fr 77, C3 40 fin,  KA KONCEPT 7.3, up to JP Excite Ride (for laughs)

DETAILS:  Very sketchy sail...couldn't get settled on the Koncept..i just wouldnt set right.  Had some Ok runs early, but the wind became sparodic and I spent most of the day trying to get more grunt out of the rig.

Came in for lunch and then decided to take the JP barge out...I thought the additional volume might help with getting on the plane but for some reason, I couldn't really get it going which, in 10-15 knots of breeze, confirmed just how crap the settings on the sail were.

Well done Roy!

You had a great session and I had a crap session.

1 run and that was it. Note to self, don't try and sail when you've got the flu.

Well done FiremanSam. You looked to be going well on Sunday!

Drift - Sorry to hear you didn't have the best day. I've had a few of those recently. Next one will be a beauty! I heard a whisper that you might soon be classed as a local? Plenty of time then to tune the gear!
