4428 days ago 2 categories   Golden Beach, QLD, AU. Mistral Speed 55/7.0 Reflex/29 Caspar. Went to the Lake for the Wind Wanderers, great turnout but wind was still NW at 11.30am. So decided to go back to GB about lunchtime, and try my luck there. Very Very gusty NE,N and NW, and perhaps 10-17 knots. Underdone most of the time. Have to say the Mistral eats the chop like nothing else, and man it can gybe, cause I sure can't! haha. Best gybe since 2008 I believe. The longer water line and volume are a real +. Still hanging out to try it in powered 7m weather.

Sparkling, beautiful afternoon on the harbour. Real champagne windsurfing with bright sun and good wind. Nothing extreme, just good satisfying sailing. Was powered up enough on 5.8 but a little slow out of the gybes so changed halfway through to 6.5. Not so relaxed but a fair bit quicker and lovely in the gybes. Great to be out again on the Mistral Flow too. Love sailing it and a great combination with the Ezzys - makes it all very easy.
Ezzy Wave Panther 5.8 then Ezzy Cheetah 6.5. Mistral Flow 96 w stock 28 fin.
