Falcon 79 Slalom + Hot Sails Maui GPS 5.5m (demo sail borrowed from Mark Jordan), Casper 25cm (borrowed from Mark Jordan).
Well the bet to stay on till today paid off. I got close to my goal 2 sec, so I am pretty happy. The Falcon 79 felt so nice with the smaller fin when powered up, but the wind was dropping each run. I reckon if the wind stayed in I would have dialled in the gear and got my goal. The set up was so sweet. Next time perhaps.
Heaps of weed too due to the big northerly we had this morning. Every 4th run was dudded due to catching weed.
Did about 10 runs with the 5.5, then changed up to the 6.6 GPS and a 29cm meanline borrowed from Sam. All good speeds were done on the 5.5, the 6.6 just became a fun sail, charging around. The 79 Falcon is so easy to sail, even nailed a few tacks on the little bugger. The GPS sails are so nice, the 5.5 is a gem - thanks for the lend of the demo 5.5m sail mark J, and the fin. Thanks for the loan of the other fin Sam.
Only sailed 4 times in 2 weeks, but overall I am stoked with the quality of the sails that we did have. Today of course was the highlight. GO MARAUDERS
