SOMEPUNK (6558km): Pelican Point, WA, AU
Started the day at Wally World with Trouty and joined by Chris Porter, Mark Slade, John Norton and Chris Adamson. Then Down to Pelican Point for a blast before sunset. Wally World proved once again to be like a difficult girlfriend never giving you what you want and taking away you toys (destroyed a new fin). Peli was fun all be it choppy as hell as a result of excessive stink boat action. 2013 Starboard I-Sonic 87 Carbon is a machine!

Slappa (3385km): Melville Beach, WA, AU After 5 long months of rehab it was D Day on testing out injured Knee. If it didnt handle a light sail it was going to be time to go under the surgeons knife and more damn rehab. So it was a nervous man who rigged up on the grass at melville yesterday. Thought I would start out easy on a wave board to minimise the impact of chop on the knee. The wind was pretty damn solid and maybe not ideal for a test sail but I could not help myself and out I went. The knee held up pretty well with no problems with stability but a few jolts of pain when I smashed through bigger chop. But I could gybe and water start OK so I was really pleased with the day. All in all I sailed for just 30 minutes but it was a pure joy to be back out there!!!! So now to gradually add TOW and get everything sailing fit is the goal. Speeds were crap but that was not the point today. Love windsurfing!!!!! Moral to the story "You sometimes dont appreciate what you have till its gone "- look after your joints kids
