Very marginal today.

Damo another PB! And on a day like this.

Ha, ha ha...beat my spead PB by 2 hundreds of a second. Still counts.  Cool

Quick blat after driving home from a weekend in Yallingup. Thought it looked like it was fading so took the big girl out, she handled it pretty well considering the chop - just a smidge off my PB for this board and a top three hour. Stoked!

Ricey was out having fun and Obelix grinning ear to ear with his new board. Great way to finish the weekend Cool

Safety Bay, WA, AU 5.7K, no nose 24 elmo weedy Gusty 18-20 knots.

Really wasn't powered up at all today, surprised to get a 29 on the dial. Another top 5 score. Lots of kiters today but they weren't a nuisance except for one who dropped his lines right in front of me. I think Snake on a speed run gave one kiter a big scare.

Nice to catch up with Snake, Sammy and 25. Thanks for the encouragement, but I still couldn't crack that 30.

Not much wind to start so rigged Turbo 7.4 with Iso 122 and 42 Technics, but wind got up so changed to RRD 98 with 38 Technics - much more comfortable even with the 7.5m sail.

Macha Packa went out on his large board and sail just as the wind picked up - never saw him again! Will have to check that he posted.

Had a go at the downwinder from Hangover Bay to Cervantes - first attempt and underpowered with the 6.6 left me a way behind the leaders but great fun all the same.

That left us with the car 20 kms upwind and nobody offering a lift, so Claude and Norts decided to sail back. That didn't seem such an exciting prospect as I don't think I had ever sailed upwind for longer than 15 minutes in the past. But the one and half hour sail was just amazing - the ocean was crystal clear with at least six different shades of blue. Too much fun.

Slogged around under powered for a while then just as it started to fill in there was an ominous sqeaking noise from my mast base. Headed back to Peli to find the collar on the mast extension had broken and the pin was starting to dig its way into the mast. A little pissed but glad it happened now and not while I'm in Shark Bay in two weeks timeTongue out.

Short trip to safety bay, in between work. Joined by Pete, Sammy and Anita. It was Kite city again until later when the wind left too, so spent most of the time out the back again. Good to build the opean ocean speed a bit. Pete was pulling some nice speeds today given the conditions, good stuff Cool

Watermans Beach, very slow putt around on 5.8 and Kombat, not enough wind really but too much swell to try out the slalom gear. Very tired after yesterday and the drive back from Lancelin so just a short play.

Good job on the PBs gents.

Obelix - I saw you today - you had the orange 7.0 Ezzy free and a very snazzy looking *board?  I had a white/blue/grey/silver loft blade and an ancient(Undecided) *board sonic...

Thanks Patrick. It is becoming a bit of an obsession but I am getting closer. 4 of my top 5 scores have been this year and 3 have been since 21 Sept. Just trying to knock off that top one of 29.6 (30 on the dial) which I set 29th December last year. There will be a party when I get that realspeed 30!

Congrats Grumpy on the PB - I had the same issue with the pin embedding itself in the mast offshore at Sth Freo a couple of weeks ago. Scary stuff.

Good to get your stuff A1 for the trip.

Hey Justin.

Yeh I had the gopro on the mast top. Bit too choppy to get and good footage, it was bouncing all over the place but I got a couple nice stills of the gybes.

Can definetly do a quicker naughty at Peli. Last time I tried there I was heaps faster but I was turning too early. I'm on a mission to beat your PB, just gotta get there on a week day when there's not 100 yachts chopping up the water.
