Town Green, Port Macquarie, NSW, AU, exocet sl56 then jp49, severne overdrive 6.7, Had a quick sail with Mark and Greg, 15kts N.E. Was good to get the jp49 on the water. It was easier to sail than expected, got on the plane quite quickly and even went up wind quite well. Hopefully we get a good N.E. Breeze later in the week.

Queens Lake. Ne 12 knots. Looked promising ,but only got four planing runs before it dropped to 5 knots. Floated around for a while but the wind was gone.

No wind on the Lake today. Wind not going inland enough. 10 knots max. Storm killed it.  Got to see and talk to Raf & Phil at the sailing club. Raf had his first sail after his big operation. WELL-DONE RAF! Great to see you back out on the water!  All the wind was up at Port. Steve got some ok runs. I could not get on the plane. Board & sail to small.

7.3m Hot Sails GPS, 99L Falcon, 34cm meanline

First slalom sail at Yamba. Unfortunately heavy run in tide which destroyed the speed run at the western end of the rock wall because of the chop created. Regardless I had fun, it was no choppier then queens (mid lake) so still fun, just had to spear her into the channel on a gust and hold on. A few more days forecasted for NE so hope to get better tides with an earlier sail during the week. Big storm coming too, so the wind had me fully lit at times charging through the chop, and then just floating at other times.

7.3m GPS is a sweet sail, not as heavy and cumbersome as the 8m, but still heaps of grunt - my favourite big sail now. So easy to rig as it was the first rigging and sail of it today. Just like the others, follow the measurements on the bag and a perfect setting, no fluffing around.

Todays run is a PB for the 99, which was previously a 33.01, so stoked with that given the shitty water state. Nicole came down for a sail and got some great runs. looking fwd to her results.

So nice to be sailing in boardies with warm water and wind again.

Mark H, can you please upload my tracks when you are able. I am a technology goof - google earth is still giving me curry.........would love to see how far into the chanel I was when I got the 2sec Peak.

Kona One, 7.5 Ezzy. Scary session for my return back...not! Managed to get front foot into strap once, by the time I reached for the rear strap it was all over red rover. I must be the only bugger posting times on a Kona One...heheh. Not enough wind to even water start.

I had two sessions on my card for some reason (picked the one with bigger numbers and second session), I knew I must have travelled more than 2.9klms! Must remember to lock the GT31.

Nice speeds back home boys. I love that speed bank at home. 25-30kn NE, casper fins and small boards and there will be PBs there galore!

Good on ya Dion for getting the little board out. Surprising how easily they unstick and get going in flat water hey. I had a similar experience the first day I sailed the small falcon - I was amazed she would get going in 15-20, with my 92kg ass on board. Wait till you get a good NE there Dion that little board will smoke for sure.

Looking fwd to a run on the patrik speed board Mark.J next time the speed bank is on (if I am allowed pretty please). Also Mark.J, when I get back I wil order a couple of those Caspers and a couple of those freaky, stumpy looking Maui Ultrafin Delta fins for the Queens mudbank. Also, thanks again for the loaner trailer....carried all the gear no worries - hardly knew it was on the back of the Subbie. I owe you a carton, what is your beer?

Good results all round Marauders!

What a difference 25 kays makes...  Great speeds  up there guys! Unreal for 15 knots.  I'm a bit gutted I didn't stay there. Anyway, had fun at Queens, bath warm water and good company. Awesome to see Raf back on the water!! Good one big fella, the start of good things to come!

Mark H. Mercifully my GPS deleated all my data (oh what a shame). All I'll say is,  I was only 3 knots slower than you, so I'm happy with that. But Raf pipped my by 2 knots. Such a tight battle...

Thanks for the welcome everyone and the stimulating pics Phil (hahaha), not ideal sailing conditions but I suppose good for my return, geez how many returns can someone make in one sport! Anyway despite having a go 3 weeks earlier than what my surgeon adviced, nothing spilt out of my wetsuit when I removed it so the medicos done good at sealing me up.Wink

I'm going to have a go soon in stronger wind and I'm a little apprehensive though in the event of a catapult, I really dunno how my gut will feel. No exercises I've done in the past months can simulate the sudden muscle clenching launch and splash of a catapult. Should be OK me thinks.YellWink

Hope to post some PBs soon, won't be difficult.Smile
