Mineral (4665km): Melville. 7.5 KA 135lt Tabou 40 choco fin. Long time since I had a nice relaxing sail day like today makes one disappointed when the body gets tired and I had to knock off for the day. Struggled a little at times as Herb and Lyn (FNQ mob) not to far from my thoughts all day. Should have come down in board and fin size, but was having too much fun to bother. Breeze very gusty, and only a couple of gybes to write home about. Couple of trips across were great until the stink boats started to chop the place up a tad.

Ricey (11089km): Pelican Point, WA, AU Fun afternoon except for a close shave with a powerboat that appeared not to see me as I went accross his bow. I judged I could clear him, but it was close and I expected him to change course slightly. And Grant, who was about 15m behind me, had to bail out to avoid being hit. Grant said the boat skipper slowed down after he had bailed so presumaby was unaware of either of us until then. Moral of the story: don't assume power gives way to sail, especially close to Christmas. RRD 89 - love that board - with 6.5m Turbo and 33 Technics.
