GR8 sail at the lake. Nicely powered up on the 7m so sailed up the lake for another try at the 1 hour. Never overpowered on the 7m but spent 1 hour going off the wind -just windsurfing heaven

Could not use all the lake as the whole east side was on fire and the smoke was really effecting the wind down that side. Still the runs were so long that my back leg was on the verge of cramping up and could not sail at 100%

I actually feel quite fortunate, I thought I had busted a rib which would have been 6-8 weeks off the water. Luckily x-rays show no break, just torn muscle etc apparently.

Fantastic hour Phil! I remember sailing up ther in brushfire smoke in 2009, but it didn't look as bad as in your pics. You'll have to come up on 12th January for the lake 1 hr challenge.
