4362 days ago 1 categories 7.9 KA Race CA SL 120 42 Drake, Krikey I got the worst gybe award today just could not get it together using a Pointer fin for the 2nd time in my lfe just made it all a bit weird Seemed to have reasonable board speed but it was hard work out on the lake. Great to catch up with Dave, Carl, PJ & meet some new faces. Came home to a solid sea breeze still blowing. Great day all the same. AHHH I got 6 PB's for Boggy GeeI drove an extra 2 hours & still posted first !

4361 days ago As soon as you mention race - guess what happens again. Wind started out 10 - 15 knots and after 2 laps went very patchy - 5 - 12 knots. Great to catch up with people haven't seen for a while. Good to see my Dad back on the water and Uncle Mark - all together at the lake again. Caught 2 carp at the end of the day and a couple of beers - cheers Tricky and Gareth - Fun Day.
Boggy lake - 5 - 15 knots.
Fanatic Falcon 113 / 8m Hotsails GPS and R425 Black Project Fin.

Floated around for an hour or so waiting for the boost to arrive. No joy in that regard however it was quite pleasant out on the drink with full cloud cover.
Tomorrow early might be worth a try.
Cheers Jeff

An underwhelming 1 hour slalom event with a few puffs of breeze. Good turnout considering.
Great to see Dave and Richard and Paul and Mark (twice now)turn up to:-) Hope to see more of each

race day: showed up for a bit of fun and it was, gear selection was the winner.
picked the smaller sail and bigger board, then noticed a hole around the fin bolts...
changed to the Slalom board, good in the wind at the start, the leaders all laid down at the first mark and let me lead for the next three laps.
then Hayden passed as the wind dropped away.
Couldn't catch him after that
Well done !!

4360 days ago To fat and unfit to Race I guess having a 9.7 up to start did not help but I was buggered after 2 laps stopped for a break. Then dicided to see what happened to Sam but The wind had dropped and I di not even make it upwind enough to the bouy.
Just hear the Simmer Boards have arrived so will be picking them up tomorrow morning. So I will have a Godzilla for the next race now I just have to get fit enough by the next race to be competitive Sould have a new GPS as well

Finally got a new cable to connect my gps to a Win 7 computer. The old Geko 201 will probably die now, leaving me with a useless cable.
The third SWS/WSA Race series. Not so fast that day!
