Cirrus Flyer (1077km):
4342 days ago Inverloch, VIC, AU. Wow what a weekend of windsurfing. GPS resuts from Saturday PM only as I was teaching most of Saturday moring and Sunday morning. All students managed to get sailing in both directions and safely turn around t the point where I could leave then them to explore their own new found limits. May have a couple of new IWC members as a result.
When not teaching I had the opportunity to really test a Starboard Isonic 101 with a MFC 40cm and my own NP 7.8 Slalom Mk IV. Very impressed with its ablity to carry the 7.8 and step up on the plane quickly in relatively light conditions (+ - 12-15 Knots) cnsidering he weight of the rig plus wet sailor. Beautiful flat runs on the west channel (straight south out of pipeworks) with the SW on a low tide. First chance to really fly the MKIV 7.8
41 Km day is a reflection of the fantastic flat conditions on the west channel.
In future I'ill be trying progressively higher boom positions on advice from Mr P. in an effort to bring my averages up to +- 30.
Looking forward to Australia Day long weekend for some more great sailing and mutual learning with a great bunch of mates.
