Sputnik. NP 6.2 Saber, 30 weedy

Sneaky sail after work. Got onto some dead flat water on the lee of the spit which was fun. Wind died off slowly and called it a day

Picked up my new Hot Sails Maui GPS sails from Gareth at SWS so thought i would drop by the lake.  1st time today on new model 7.3m Hot Sails Maui GPS.  1st thing i noticed was the retro pink colour - at the start but has grown on me and definately wont be missed on the water. The other most noticeable thing was the weight of the sail. The 7.3 is as light or even lighter than the 2012 6.0m. On the water it felt very light in the hands and alot easier on the gybes.

The power is incredible as was the 2012 but the added 4th cam makes it more stable across the wind and found it pulled like a train downwind. It has extra length in the bottom batten and the 4th cam has stiffened up the bottom of the sail and also seems to sit slghtly higher so sail sits balanced on top of board. Cam rotation is excellent. Can't wait to spend more time on this sail and try the 5.5....

Wind picked up as i had to leave to go to my daughters 10th birthday party but still had time to stretch new sail.

Fanatic Falcon 113 / 2013 7.3m Hot Sails Maui GPS / Black Project R425 and R375.

Lake George, SA, AU from cockys point, SSW 15 to 20 then faded, no white caps to be seen.

F2 sxs with 24 choco weedy, F2 stoke with 24 select weedy, 5.8 KA Koncept.

started at 9.30 after waiting for slow Sammy to get going, was just going to get my 42k's up i needed to make my 10thou but was feeling good so kept blasting, first 100 on sxs with 5.8 KA but had my steamer wetty on and got too hot so went in and changed to a shorty, went back out on the stoke for comfort still with the 5.8 but was so slow after the sxs was a mistake as I missed some decent gusts for a better 2sec, wind fadingafter 220 so put up a 6.6 but kept the 24 fin another mistake should have used a 30 as was struggling. called it quits at 6 to go to the pub for tea with the crew
