hoppybogan (25974km): Stansbury, SA, AU SSE i5-20 then 20-25knots
Fanatic Falcon 102, KA Koncept 5, BP 28 weed. then KA Koncept 6.6
First time out on the Falcon and really happy with it ( thanks Carl). It floats out into the wind zone and takes off. Getting into the straps is easy and is comfortable ride .
Went out with the 5m first and sailed around for an hour but the wind was a little tricky today and had to come in and change up to the 6.6 koncept as i hav'nt got a 5.8 yet. Did'nt like the feel of the 6.6 on the falcon so came in got the sputnik and plugged the 6.6 in and had a blast for about an hour. The wind picked up to 20-25knots so in again and out on the Falcon with the 5m koncept. Good solid hour with good gybes and got her motoring with a 35 on the dial. The Falcon is a winner, no doubt about it and am happy to have this as the replacement board for the Sputnic which has served me well. The Falcon goes around so smoothly on the gybes too, really impressed.
Came in well worn out and happy

PJ (24612km): 19-02-13 Session 1-Lake George-SSE 16-22 knots-Simmer Monster 100-Loft Blade 6.3m-Lessacher Duo Weed 28cm 19-02-13 Session 2-Lake George-SSE 22-30 knots-Fanatic Falcon 89-Loft Blade 5.6m-Tomahawk P1 24.5cm weedy Arrived at Cockies Point, Lake George after hearing the breeze overnight whilst staying in Millicent. Thought was a fair chance for some distance as my main goal being to crack a 400km session. Rigged 6.3m and 5.6m, dithered around setting up and on the water by 7.09 am and finished at 6pm. Pretty excited as closing in on 400 mark coutered by both hands being really sore and well just being damn sore and fatigued all over. Could have kept sailing but to stuffed lol and well I'll leave 500 km for another day when I'm fitter!! Wished wind stayed in 6.3m territory as prefer Monster 100 for cruising and as a idiot proof gybing machine. When wind steadily rose and kicked in I was using to much leg and arm so had to change over to Falcon 89 and 5.6m. Don't really like this board as I find it hard to gbye this f##ker and when I did stuff a gybe, sank the back end to catch weed... so stop and de-weed, water-start. Got my gying better but couldn't relax into the gybes. BTW the wind was again right at upper range of my 5.6m (or was just to tired) and required some feathering etc to close in on 400kms. Want to thank Kimba (aka Tim Hemmer) for loan of his proto Tomahawk weedy. Very nice fin, could push upwind if needed and slippery, never found it draggy or found its top end. Lake George is much flatter as compared to 11/2/12, as water level drops, slightly longer walk then bit of mud to muck through to launch. A few others around to sail with made long day way more interesting. Even got a bit racey last 150 kms trying to keep up with others. Still wish could have faster hours but 400kms in 11 hours is pretty good for me. I'll be trying to book next years holidays for same time next year for another marathon session...... Nice meal in the pub after with the boys but lol pretty vauged and spaced out Session 1 Session 2

Jimbob (26496km): Well done on the PB PJ, I know you have been wanting it for a long time was great to be there first one to shake your hand, maybe I will back you up one day, LG from cockys, S to SSE 20 to 25 some puffs but not enough, first few runs on f2sxs and getting 38's so straight onto the missile, usual 5 ka sails and choco 24 weedy. My day was more of trying to get some decent settings again so I can consistently run over 40 and get my target of a 40 10x5, but bloody heaps of 39s again, tryed both sails 07 and 08 Koncepts 07 is the go for speed, ran my fibrespar carbon boom I normally use on my big sail as its heaps wider was the go too but the loop and go is shit on it, Am defenitly going to get an adjustable outhaul and new boom with pulleys. ran along the top bank abve the drift doing port tack runs, man I love port tack, water will be too low here very soon, the usual run out from the cars was a bit too square today as was the nm run,

X (4599km): Started off om my 8m GPS but felt a bit overpowered going through the chop so cam in and changed down to the 7.3 GP2. It was hard to find flat water with wind. It was flat behind the reeds but the reeds created a wind shaddow. But had a good blast around. 10 -22 knots Hot sails Maui GPS8m/GP27.3 Patriks Freeride 145 Black project 38
