Dave M (3969km): Lake George, SA, AU Wind: 20-25 SSE KA Koncept 5.0, Tabou Manta Started the day early to do an hour attempt then head home early (no lights on the trailer !) stopped my hour 6 minutes early, that stuffed that hour up !! nice sail on the Lake, good crew out, was hard to hold on near the end of the hour will do it again soon but this time i'll set the gps on to time !!!!!!!!
Choco (14568km): Short session today had to get back for work used the 41 today felt nice very easy to get going but did'nt have alot of time to get it tuned properly would have been great to sail longer and get more runs ... next time. TR9 5.5 Mspeed 41 Lake George
PJ (24612km): 12-02-13 Lake George-SSE 20-30 knots-F2 Missle 2008'ish-KA Koncept 5m-Choco Weed 24cm and Lessacher Weed 20cm Slower today, prolly combination of sail rigged tad differently plus slightly stronger wind making me sail defensively. Wrecked Choco fin on submerged rock and bit of damage to Missile..... Tried couple naughties but no good:-( Bit fatigued to, need more panadols!

Jimbob (26496km): Finally after getting stuck in the 39's I sorted it out and ran some 40's at the end. had over 20 39's at the start and 39.98. F2 sxs with 21 techtonics nomad at the start doing aplhas and then onto the missile with 24 choco weedy, used 08 koncept for alphas then 07 for speed. Wind Se pumping seabreeze . the crew where going off today pb's every where even sammy got some. starting to get a bit weary will need a day off soon. sorry Jordan just beat ya.
Tricky Bogan (21799km): Hard day at the office Started on CA101 5.8 Koncept 28 Lessacher duo weedie knocked out an hour came in for a spell & a cherry ripe then decided to plug the 5.8 into the Isonic speed & clocked out a high 37 before it got too much of a handfull loading up the fin too much & a 35 spin out was not mykind of fun! came in for a spell & changed down to the old 5 koncept did my peak but it was just as big a handfull to handle as the 5.8 not as good as Jamies 5 must go shopping for a new 5m Another great day with Host Jamie & the Aust wide crew. Happy Birthday to Leanne I got 2 PB's for the wife's Present
Hamma (12038km): Mistral 41,KA assy 20,5.0 EVO 5 Board felt great and the sail surprise me to get these speeds as I couldn't fill much wind in the sail. 5.8 would have been a lot better but wanted to get it tuned for a big day.I was over sheeting every run as there just wasn't enough wind for it.Think it will smoke in 40 +.Great to catch up with all the windsurfing heads again.
Captain bogan (50569km): 1st time on new Hot Sails Maui GPS 5.5 - very nice sail fast and comfortable and like the 7.3 it rotates perfectly. Started with a 1 hour on the isonic 86 combo with Black Project weed speed 31 and 5.5 - fin worked excellent heaps of drive upwind and during the hour had a couple of 39 knots peaks. Also managed some nice alphas too and jagged a pb. The wind had picked up so changed to isonic 50 with GPS 5.5 and Vector Weed Speed 23. 1st run managed a 40 peak with 40 knot 10 second. Fin felt good but damaged bottom and rear edge on 1 run early. Managed some 41 knot peaks but found it hard to find the flat water and time a gust. Later in the day adjusted outhaul and dropped cleat out rear of boom. Luckily found it re-adjusted and took off. Bang broke outhaul rope 500m downwind of launch area. Knackered at this time i had to walk through knee deep mud back to shore. Grabbed a new outhaul rope and went back out and also allowed me to clean up damaged fin. Still stuck in the 41's and by this time i was stuffed and had to head into town for tea. Not the peak and average i was after but time with new sail i am sure the numbers will come. Good to get out and clear the head and heart from the last 1.5 weeks. |
