Lake Tinaroo, QLD, AU

Beach was flat yesterday so decided to take a run up to Tinaroo knowing Ed and Hans were going to be there and possibly

catching up with Herby and Hoppy Bob. Rain squails were bringing the wind gusts and if you were not on the water ready.....

you missed out.  Great to catch up with everybody as well as get in a couple of runs on the board.

Herby will probably be out for another couple of weeks with his sore foot by the sounds while young Hans just keeps

going ...like a machine.

Anyway Hans and I are here to back up the fnq mob Burrum boys ....as a last resort.

Tinaroo social day..Spent the night up in the hills with the family, then dropped in to the lake with Simmie and Triston, two good sailors from Port Douglas. The girls had a good paddle board session ,my wife uses my  trusty old125lt AHD with a small fin,  it is the perfect paddle board for a light weight paddler, Me and Triston baby sat kids. We then drove  around to the sailing club to catch up with the local wind surfing crew..Had a good old chit chat and watch Fast Freddie do some great speed runs while getting chased by anrgy rain squalls.. was quiet an impressive sight. the wind was very up and down which is tipical of the dam this time of year so there was more talking than sailing. The girls paddled right across the dam, i didn't think they would make it ,as they got caught in one of those angary rain squalls but they put in a good effort and made it with smiles on there faces..All in all a good day out..Hey Billy i hear you trashed a good sail the other day, i know the feeling as i have trashed more than my fair share, hope it can be fixed the local sail maker up here can do a good job as he has had plenty of practice fixing mine..Looks like some good numbers coming out of Burrum heads at the moment,Good work guys..Cheers Ed
