Well, that PB was unexpected. Had to give the 7.3 HSM GPS a turn on the Island - not ideal in the 25knt conditions, but considering, a job well done. Easy as in the 20 knots we experienced first up in the morning, but as the tide built across the reef, the wind was getting stronger to the point of survival at time. The bloody Doc was holding down a 7.8...HOW!!!! Fantastic weather and a great turn out from the mob, even faces Ive never met before - really cool. Big thankyou to Freddy, who was the designated driver today.

Great day sailing on the reef flats, Billy, Cam, Chris, Freddy, James and a southern blow in all on the water made it fun, the ten Teebaggers got in the road a bit and made the boat late when one had to be carried off again.

Used Isonic 90 C3 Sting11 34 and Overdrive 6.7

Really enjoyable sail with wind decent for first hour although pretty lumpy as usual.  Always chuffed to get a 30+ 5x10 here too. Was looking at a good hour until my harness line broke and had to change over (carry a spare) and then next run my outhaul slipped.  Wind died off at end and never got to do a powered up Nm.  Anyway great to get a SE this late in July.  Hopefully it'll hold for tomorrow.

Went for a sail with Billy just incase someone needed a backup......not the case.....a few 'Mobsters' there including

Captain Morgan, Doc. Cam, James and a couple of local Chris and Geoff Thomas who we had not seen for years.

Wind was fairly consistant but got a little rough as the tide come in...little rough at times.

Kel and Cam sailed forever while the the rest of us mortals had some time off and a bit of a gas bag.

Billy used his 7.3 and althought a little unconfortable at times showed some true grit .....probably an early night

for him. Caught the 2-30 boat home but had to wait approx. 30 mins. for a kiteboarder that had been hurt.
