The forecast looked good sw then ssw so we went to breakfast at The Dip but the wind remained cross off so everyone met up at the Manor End and parked at the Landguard carpark. It was still a bit off here but it's a great beach to launch from and a nice grassy area to rig. I took a chance with the big freeride gear and to start with I was under powered but the wind filled in and I was out non-stop for 2 hours 15 mins beating toward the dock and flying flat down wind over a mile - great fun. I was using Wadgate post as a gybing mark and even managed to stay on a few times rounding the big post !!! I was disappointed with my speeds only making 25 kts  :( After a quick break I had another hour in freshening winds and while everyone changed down I stuck with the 7.5 and it was fine and managed to increase my max a little :) The long maxed out broad runs are just the best fun even if it makes your back leg ache !! Mark Smalling came a drift from his board and sail when the uj went, lucky for him his board was washed ashore and the coast rescue boat got his rig. In the end I nearly got a 25 ave with an ok hour and alpha considering the bumpy sea. A top 5 star session and the sea was like a bath :)

Roger said F5/6 so rigged 85l/4.7m which was comfortable. landed on Cob sand to fill out and felt more power. Wind increased so flattened 4.7m again and great fun blasting, though quite choppy in places. Tried a few jumps with one semi-decent and only fell in on two gybes, close on a few others and some cracking gybes close to shore. Good fun. Wind decreased to 5/6m so packed up.

The first session posted for Abersoch and I quite enjoyed myself... sunny and windy!

No complaints... except perhaps for the lunatics in power boats / jet skis.
