Point Walter East, woohoo another 40 on the dial. First easterly of the season for me and it wasnt too bad at all! Some nice gusts coming through. Mistral 112, 7.0m E5, CLSL1-29. Love this combo because it eats chop for breakfast.

Majestic Point, WA, AU

 

early morning session Majestic which was pretty nuclear! good fun blasting across to peli in the chop and also doing slalom gybing practice on the markers there.

Then late afternoon sail at peli mostly gusty and underpowered.

fatter is faster. I put on ~5kg this year (I fully blame my sons for that) and its by far the fastest 12 months I've had here in WA. Was quite surprised at my speeds there today. It was a nice easterly but I dont think it was anything epic compared to a few years ago when we got them all summer. What a hoot though! Missed the easterlies last summer- I only sailed one.

EDIT: Turns out this was my Pt Walter East PB for 5x10.
