Primbee, NSW, AU   Arrived at 9. 00 just as the SW died off, ready and waiting and waiting, finally slowly building. on and off for hours.

The SW came in after 12.00 and slowly built to 30kts + ahead of the rain, gave it away because of the chop.

Tabou 95l Rocket   Severne 5.6 it went alright Mark.

Primbee, NSW, AU Westerly up to 45 knots, Choppy, choppy, choppy!!

A strong westerly in December - yeehahSmile. First few runs on the 90 with the 7m sail but very soon was well and truly overpowered. Changed to the 5.6m sail and felt a bit better, but the chop made the ride very harsh. Had a food break and decided to try the W49. This immediately felt great, but no calm water to be found. The wind was increasing and at one point I had to stop sailing as my world went white with a 45 knot squallTongue out- very spooky! I feel I'm getting a bit more confident at blasting over choppy water - certainly helped by the excellent MxR fin.

Best NM on the 90!

I hope you leg(s) are OK KeefCry

Primbee, NSW, AU

5.5RSR Evo2, 54 wide Custom Bump & Jump (Lenny).

You weren't wrong when you said it was windy and rough, Bushy. It's blowing when you see water spray as big as a bus flying across the water. It was almost impossible to find anything resembling flat water out there. I wanted to stay out a bit more than normal too after seeing what happened to Keef's board. Also had trouble keeping my front foot in the front strap most of the time. More adjustments needed I think.

Hey Glen, great speed for those conditions. I hope your not going to put me on the end of year transfer list for leaving early!

I spent 2 hours drifting around before the SW really started to blow and that wore me out. Maybe tomorrow.

Excellent speeds Mark - Leroy goes hard!Smile Maybe boom height Mark?

No transfer allowed Terry - you've just got to pace yourself!

Had the boom and mast track at my normal position for the 5.5, my front foot was very loose and I clocked over 40kts. I put my mast track forward slightly and then tried my boom lower and my front foot felt a lot better, I was a lot more in control but I couldn't get back over 40kts.???? I think Leroy rides across the water better with my mast and boom in there original positions. It's a shame the rider doesn't.

It's a fine line.

Good numbers bushy, we almost got our average to 40kts.

Well done Mark I will be down your strip soon will need some tips on your spot.

Front foot problem is common yes moving mast track forward & boom down helps but does not effect your speed I find.

Another fantastic team performance in some pretty rough conditions.  Very high standard of sailing at lake illawarra this season, takes a lot of guts to go that fast after seeing the demolition job of keef's board by a submerged obsticle.
