Great sail with Cam at Double Island, used Cams Isonic 2012? 80 and was very impressed, awesome board in the lumpy stuff, never felt like i had to back off for any of the confused mush outside the island. Used a venom for the first time in a while and might have to get back on them more often for the messy days.
Used Isonic 80, Overdrive 6.7 and Venom 32

Was tossing up rigging the 6.3 but thankfully I didn't chicken out. Initially was very powered up but ended up with about 10minutes of the session slogging it. Very frustrating as I was trying to punch out a decent hour. Really like the Sting in this board and it behaved beautifully when going broad. Doesn't get up on the plane as quickly as the KA Sl37 but definitely felt as good powered up. Water state was incredibly messy as usual and last leg for nm run was very up and down. Had some scary moments but as always very chuffed to punch out a 30+ 5x10 in the slop.

Another good day at the lake.
The wind had increased from yesterday allowing me to get out on the 82L board. Lucky, as my 100L board was out of action whilst it drains water from the hole the removalists gave it. As I have mentioned before, the reaches are crazy long here at Cootharaba. You go along for so long that you start to wonder when and if you might gybe so as to change things up a little. In the gusts I was thinking of putting on a smaller fin. I was keen as mustard to try and get over the 29Kt mark today. However the random pockets of nothing in the middle of the gusts made me think twice about that. I was very excited to see that I was not the youngest guy out there today! A dad with 4 young fellas (all still in high school) were out having a blast today. It has been too long since I was not the youngest one out. To top of this day I went to the local Borreen Point pub. Its a done up historic pub with a good assortment of beers. I sat there on the veranda downing a well deserved ale, smiling about the arfternoon I had just had.

3993 days ago Never really happened for me today arrived at the beach look good rigged 6.8 switchblade and headed out on the carbonart. Had a couple of runs then felt as if the wind was dropping. So in I went rigged the 7.8 and grabbed the big board just as I got back to the water in came the wind again Bugger. Headed out anyway well and truely over powered had a stack and went through the sail. Limped into the beach where Billy greated me and proceeded to take photos of my torn sail laughing all the while. Anyway think I know what I want for Christmas now. Thanks for your help with my board Billy legend.
