A quick PB and home by 10.30am
The TR7 delivers again. CA70 and 6.6 TR7. Stronger than predicted southerly coaxed me out on to the lake around 9 am. First gybe got hammered over near the channel entrance, with sharks on my mind I hopped quickly back on and started the stop watch for the hour. With my Garmin GPS on my wrist to monitor progress I struggled through fierce chop at times terribly over powered and out of control. Watched the 40 kms tick over just as the hour came up as I blasted downwind towards Rathmines to try and squeeze a few extra metres out of the 1 hour.
Next time I will look for some flat water to attempt such things

Testing 6.6m Severene + 7.2m. Started with 95ltre Rocket + 30cm weedie + 6.6m. Couldn't seem to get upwind but I wasn't really with it. Sleep deprived..Put the tabou fin on and a bit better but the wind was dying and i think the board was underpowered. I just realised my runs weren't very long either so I would have done better with longer runs. I'm not used to sailing at Marmong. It seems you get a lift either end and a knock in the middle?
Went to the Xcross 115 and felt like a barge but did the job! Bit with the 6.6m then 7.5m
Maybe because I was so tired but I wasn't edging the board into the turns and was going straight ahead..never done that before and i better fix it.Quick spin on the 7.2m and finish as so tired. Thanks for all your help Tibor!
Dissapointed I didn't get upwind enough to bear off for a run.Marmong has some nice flat spots to gybe either end.Got one average chop hop.

Beautiful Southerly again. Starting to get used to the board now . Armchair sailing, almost.
Thanks to Bear for lending me a boom when the head on mine disintergrated.
Good to see about 10 sailors out enjoying the conditions.
