Tibor (18017km):
3981 days ago Pleasant afternoon with the strong (4-5m) southerly abaiting at Canton Beach, NSW, AU. used my overdrive 6.7 and my trusty 117 isonic. Could have possibly done a bit better but lacked the energy today. We did have a good day at Marmong yesterday on the formulas so, it was acceptable. Should be greatful being able to sal in reasonably strong winds that are warm as well!

78ltre Tabou pocket wave, 4.8m Sailworks Hucker + 23cms weedie
Got there after lunch to avoid the strongest wind as I didn't feel like a survival sail today.Good! There was some flat spots but also 6-12" chop that was a bit scary overpowered and gybing.Hucker threw me around a lot but survived. need a 5m cambered sail for these days.I feel I'm sialing well. I'm getting upwind better , getting 99% of my gybes ( nothing spectacular though) and bearing off more overpowered.Bet the next sail off Coal sorts me out though..
Got 29.47 on the GPS - still can't break that 30kt barrier..Few kiters + kiter learners. about a dozen sailors out.
Yay got a PB for the 10secs..

20 to 25 knots S/SW
Fanatic ray 102 with a R4 7.0 & select S1 33cm and then when it picked up slightly I swapped to my Severne overdrive 6.2 on my 81 litre JP slalom VIII 56 wide with a select 29cm eliptical. The wind was a but less that expected and personally I would have preferred a bit more south in it but the boys reckoned the angle was fine just the wind strength was way underdone. I got a few nice gusts on the course for quite a few 33 knot runs but my 2 sec PB was actually accross the river on the manning point side and my Ray 102 still holds my pb and not my JP 56 wide. The Ray has given me a little bit of grief at times but I finally found the right fin for it, the select S1 33cm. Since I've been using that fin the ray has a been a lot more fun to use.
A lot of walking and humping gear today but hell yeah it was worth it for me I had an absolute blast. I drove my 4x4 around to the end of the spit instead of using the trolley. This saved a bit of walking but the best part of it was I could take a lot more gear and change gear without having to walk all the way back. Harrington beach is very easy to get on to and for my money the 4x4 option is the way to go.
I'm stoked with a 2 second PB and I belted my 5x10's as well which is bloody awesome I'm loving it. If you haven't done harrington yet you need to give it a go at least once. I use a kayak trolley $100 bucks from BCF it works pretty well.
Now that I've sailed Harrington I definately think I can make 35 or maybe 36 knots. I would have made 35 today with a a bit more wind but I'm still stoked and there's always next time!
