3981 days ago Pelican Point, 135L/7.5m - Finally rigged correctly for the conditions and had a lot of fun. At it happens when you have fun, something goes off, so the rope in my harness line broke. I could feel it stretching so went back on shore to invent something. David offered a spare (thanks David, appreciated) , but instead, I tied up a dog leash around the line and continued. Had a nice run down the stretch , should be a mile PB...
Snake was doing some teaching and I could tell he was itching to get out there. The last I saw, he was hanging on a Go board and 4m sail :-)

Drove up to Seabird today to visit a friend on her birthday, who is staying at the caravan park there with her family.
I've never been there before, so couldn't resist the opportunity to try out a new spot.
Launched in front of the caravan park in a solid 20-25K, gusts may have been stronger, it was pretty wild. No real groundswell, but big messy seas, and it took me a while to get the conditions dialled on my M112 + 7.0 TR9 + 34 CF combo.
Eventually cracked a few 30s, after being stuck in the 28s for a while. I was the only sailor on the water, and the boaties had all packed it in for the day, so I didn't want to charge too hard in unfamiliar waters.
A good LOC training sesh, although truth be told if we ever get a 25K day like today, I'll be reaching for the wave kit. Bloody hairy on the race gear out there today
