Fun afternoon sail with some of the team, super hot day but cooled a little when the wind swung from NW to NNE. Temp said 37 at Caloundra on way to beach at 2.30pm. Had a quick swim first to cool down before rigging 5.8 HSM GPS and used f2 speed board same as yesterday but used bigger fin 26. Wind not quite as strong as yesterday but less weed and a little less chop. I found it much easier today for some reason. Was trying for some alphas and did a few strap to strap gybes which was heaps of fun on the flat water over near Bribie so happy with the PBS as tried last year and could manage a good one. Wind started fading fast at about 5pm so gave it away.

I think I speak for most of us when I say it was to hot outside today for anything. Went down to weyba at 4pm but to offshore again & lot less than friday so didnt bother. Good speed again Kellie & Gavin, nice alpha pb kellie.

Wow! strap to strap gybes on a speed board, that takes skill Cool

Sure was hot.  Took a drive to Cootharaba in the morning and the Tewantin State school sign was showing 43 deg's.

GB looked like the place to be.

Astrid what are strap to strap gybes? EDIT - forget I asked that one, just googled it and realised its what I call a wave sailing gybe....dah! Didn't know it had a name. Very hard on an old coots knee with medial arthritis :(
