Trojan (8467km):  1 categories  Mackay, QLD, AU Morning sail on the falling tide. Forecast was not that great but ended up 15-20knt range. Thought I'd challenge myself by sailing the 1996 Starboard race slalom 119L x 280 long x 58 wide. Slow to plane but really cut through chop well. Unforgiving to the ankles with sharp rails all the way. Breeze was more consistent so Swapped to the 100L Naish 100L FSW with a smaller fin and it felt really crowded with the 6.4 sail. Starting to think I need a slalom board and leave the FSW for the sub 6m2 conditions where it is perfect. Best speeds on the old board. Phil, you missed out. Herby (14385km):  Lake Tinaroo, QLD, AU.....When I got to dam this morning I was surprised to find Cap'n Morgan rigging up. Sticking to my policy to sail underpowered I rigged 6.0m Gun Tempo and went out for an hour but did not get any planing runs. Decided to come in for lunch and was just into first sandwich when I noticed Kel was really slicing it up. I hurried back out and got 15 minutes of good wind, then it dropped like a brick. The gear was almost dry when the rain set in. What with Troy and Kel having good sessions I am pretty sure I can kiss my balls, I mean jelly beans, goodbye. LG...Lifes Good!!!
