Canton Beach, NSW, AU - What a weird wind it was today. Supposed to be S or SSW but was SSE/SE and gusting from 15-25+ knots. Used the 6.5 V8 + Extreme 105 + MUF 21 Delta Fin.

Plenty of Marauders out when I got there at 12.15pm. Lots of others from Sydney too. Mick, Johnny, Frothie, Pugs and son of Pugs, Greg F, Old Pete, Larko, Jamie and others. A few too many kiters learning today for my liking.

Wind gradually shifted around more to the S/East and got more gusty as well. Became very difficult to get any rhythm in the session. After a fluffed gybe or two which led to crashes, I decided I had enough.

Cheers Lads.

Queens Lake, NSW, AU

Sailed with Steve & Phil rocked up late.

Ok sail! Underpowered with the 6.7m and to smaller board 101 litre. Spent allot of time in the water.

Down haul went on me and had to make it accross the lake back with no Down Haul. Fixed it then went back out for a few runs

before I had to go. Steve got the best of it when I was trying to make it back with no down haul.

I-Sonic 101 , 6.7m VMG , 36 JP Weed.

Falcon 113, KA Race 7.9m, Meanline 38

S-SSE, so was beam reaching back and forth with Glynn and Glenn. No pushing for down wind speed today just fun sailing on a beautiful day which is awesome for a change. Tide was getting high, but was a "low" high tide so still very sailable - not flat like usual but still pretty good. Love this spot.

Wind was shifty and gusty, but sunny and great to be out.

My son, Doogs, came up today. He was keen to have a bash at this GPS sailing. He hadnt been on a slalom board for thirteen years so was hanging to have a go. Dug out my spare GT11 and we rigged a 5.8 Koncept for him. He just wanted to have a go and see what speed he could get. He loved it and got a two second of 34.52.

I think we'll have to recruit him to the Marauders.

Canton Beach, NSW, AU Didnt happen like it was forecasted to, but that is to be expected. Heaps of dudes out. First session was with 121 Falcon 31 weedy 7.5 koncept. Then wind picked up and I was over powered. Threw 7.5 on 92 with 21 Delta and that was shit, so rigged 6.6 Koncept with 92 Jp slalom with 18 Delta. That lasted about half hour but gave me top speed. Yeew!then backed off so went in and jumped back on 7.5 Koncept with 121 Falcon 31 jp weedy to crack the 100. Pretty good day considering the conditions. Got a feeling Froth may have got another Pb, Kickin ass buddy either way. GO MARAUDERS!!!!!!

Canton Beach, NSW, AU Bit frustrating today, just never seemed comfortable, Started with 8.0 GPS, Falcon 125, 36 JP weedy, then Xfire 105, 7.3GPS and 21 MUF Delta. Lots of in and out adjusting things etc etc which is annoying, but still great to be sailing! Best times in the last hour or so. Great to see so many out, plus a few learners as well. Happy Australia Day all.

Coomba Bay, NSW, AU 6m GP2 Tabou Rocket 105. 20knots with some gusts to 25 plus. flat water hard to find but OK behind pelican island.

Great fun session. Met up with Mat, Rob, Pete and Irish Tom. Darryl also joined us launching from the dark side. The rolling swell on the run back was awesome.

Rob (1800km):

Wallis Lake, NSW, AU Not much flat water but fun anyway.Great to see Doogs on speed gear again(Pugs)I don't think you will convert him.Sailed with Bill, Anton, Pete, Tom, Jason and Mat. Good company as usual on the water.

Green Piont, Wallis Lake, NSW, AU

6.5GTX, 101 Falcon, 28cm, SSE 15-25kts.  Not much water on the weedbank, touching bottom in some spots.  Went upwind for a few runs then went downwind behind Pelican Island.  Relatively smooth water but short run and no weed.

Great turnout with Pete, Rob, Tom, Jason while Bill and Anton sailed from Coomba.

Thanks guys. Frothie, never a sail without a PB - keep pushing fella. Hamish and Rob, nice gybes and also congrats on the 2sec Rob.

Capt MArk, yes it was a fun session at Harry's, but didnt get on the water till prob 1230ish, dunno why, it was windy in Taree and Port, but took it's sweet time to get into HArrington. The real wind started to kick in at around 330 when I got out. As I was unrigging I watched Glynn drop down to his 90L JP and 7m Loft and he was smoking along. I had to get back to go to the movies tonight, otherwise I would have rigged the 7.1m and Falcon 79 and kept sailing. Love to see you down there one day Captain - reckon you will love it. Big gear cruising or small gear speed, it is all fun and imortantly, easy to sail cos it is FLAT.

By the way, I saw The Wolf of Wall Street tonight. Talk about living in excess. 3 hrs of movie that covers mostly drug fuelled prostitute hook ups. These blokes 'took' a lot of money, obscene amounts actually, then lived fast and in excess.....and it is all a true story. Jordan Belfort could sell ice to eskimos. Not a great movie though, three hours I would have preferred to do something else
