Went out with anne at about 10.30, only 10-15 kts but it slowly wound up to 15-20 by 12.30 [7.8switchblade/AHD122/V-max39/ got 32.7kts] came in for lunch & went back out on carve111, could only get 33.13, wind picked up to 22+ gusts, came back in to try futura93/Vmax37 under 7.8{1st time} handled it really well & a bit faster as well! Happy to 8,000 kms up today, congrats to Geoff on 38+ Pb today

Nice day at the Lake with Peter. Got my fastest speed on the 132. 7.5 was a bit big at times probably would have been better off with the 6.6.

3952 days ago 1 categories Burrum Heads, QLD, AU Just what I needed a mini break at Burrum Heads, had two great days of sailing, was worth the trip up, although even harder work today and a very long walk up the bank in a strong head wind. Pity the direction was wrong for trying for a NM. Thanks Geoff for keeping me company (Darryl what happened to you?) I thought I was going to be all by myself out there for a while! Water flatter today with the lower tide and wind a little stronger. Had my days around the wrong way should have used the 5.8 yesterday and the 5.0 today. Didnt seem real windy when I was rigging so decided to try the 5.8 today with same board and fin as yesterday. First run down the bank was 32.5 then wind backed off a bit and I thought at least I had the bigger sail today to get going. Then Geoff arrived with his 5.8 up and I thought he wouldnt have enough but then a few stronger gusts started coming through. So so close for a 5x10 PB just should have done one more run cause as usual was getting windier and windier as the tide started coming in. Happy with speeds as was getting on the edge with this sail, had a 34. something 1 sec. Cant complain as 2sec and 5x10 made it into my top 5. Totally exausted now after 3 days of sailing and all the walking, back to work tomorrow so will get a break then.
