Queens Lake, NSW, AU

Sailed from the new spot and made life at lot easier , straight of the beach and onto the mudbank , which was very low , could bearaway on starboard tack but had to walk back out , really didnt light up today , toe was really sore and just didnt happen .

Adam smashed me on the mother ship and 7.1m Graham hit the crab pot and smashed his board , Steve the lake King was all over the lake today , looked smooth

Falcon 113, KA Race 7.1, 30cm Vector Slalom Weedy

Took out my BIGBIRD for a run because the wind looked shifty, and it was bloody shifty, from 5kn to 18kn and back to 5kn. Great fun and more time sailing between gusts today rather than waiting in stinky knee deep mud. Love this combo.

My 30cm weedy is now a 29cm weedy and in some need of reshaping as the mud/gravel bank took it's toll today on the bigger fin. Damn it was shallow, but still bumpy.

Gret arvo in the sun with Steve, MArk.J and Graeme. New launch spot looks the go for the use of speedbaords, easy walk home if the wind dies....will rig there next time. Mark.J rigged there today.

Poor GMac got smashed on an unmarked crabpot. Lucky he was just getting up and running, because if he hit it at pace it would have been horrible. Result: A couple of punctures to the board through to the foam, and some massive ripples put on the underside of the board on a diagonal. I agree with MArk.J's description when he said that it looks like Wolverive took a swipe at it. Bugger mate I hope you get her fixed up soon. On the same note, Graeme said that he saw another 3 unmarked crabpots whilst walking his stuff back to the car park - guys beware, hit one of those things at pace and you will destroy your gear and more than likely end up in hospital.

Ask for more wind and you get it.West wind 20-30k and pretty choppy and ugly with lots of weed. Good turnout from everyone today. Bill, Anton, Rob, Pete, Andre, Jason, Azza and M matt K in for a late session. Water felt a bit cooler than yesterday, and more challenging that's for sure. Falcon 79 vector 23 vapor 5.5.

Good to be back on the water.  Got there after lunch and the wind had apparently moderated a bit from earlier in the day.  Still a bit bumpy on the weedbank on the gusts.

Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU - NW 18-25 not as windy as yesterday and not as bloody cold either. Took my hands almost an hour to thaw out after yesterday.

Heaps of boys out today - Milsy, Mick, Frothie (just finished), Tibor, Bruce, Old Pete, Pugs, Fergo anyone else? Had a nice late session with Milsy in the fading NW breeze on some pretty flat water - pity the wind was dropping at that time. Still a good weekend to get 2 in a row!! Cut sick....

Started with 6.5 NCX Pro Severne but did not last long and switched quickly to 5.5 Hucker SailWorks with 85 iSonic and 28 Weedfin. Gusty Westerly made it difficult at times to control the board. Sailed with the whole crew. Aaron and Matt also turned up later.

Thanks Mark H. for combining the two files for me.

First time on the water for almost 3 months, Isonis 122, CK95 mast, Gaastra M6 6.6, 21 MUF and my trusty old (bent) NS boom.

Great to catch up with everyone, better than sitting at home! LOL

Will have to get out a bit more this month.

The Iron Man " Phuked " my  Day. Alarm went off at 6am. Fell back asleep woke up at 7am to late to

get out, My road Blocked off till 5pm. I Hate the Iron Man avents always screws it up for the people who live

on the run & bike legs. SUCKS! Wish they would go some where else! Never get a thankyou from them or Council.

Just get told your road will be closed off all Day and you will be finded if you dive on it.

Quick question before I post, I have made two files for today with good speeds in both, how can I combine both to make one file or is someone able to do it for me please?

No PB's

Matt A, email me both your files and I will combine them and do your post for you.

mwlhampton@outlook.com

Thanks Adam. I will just have to make sure I don't fall back to sleep next time.

I talked to Mark J about the crab pots. I suggested we go down to the mudbank on a weekend at low tide. Pull all the unmarked crab pots out of the water plus mark the Log that is just under the water.

Hi dudes. Unless something has changed in the years I've been stuck behind a desk, it's actually an offence to pick up unmarked crap traps - doesn't matter if they're not baited or in usable condition. I would suggest talking to the local Fisheries Officers before picking them up. Once they know they're there and are causing a navigation hazard, they should pick them up for us. Used to be a $500 on the spot fine for picking up unmarked traps - might be more now. Cheers.

HI Guys

What makes it worse in realtion to the crap traps is that the one I hit was baited AND unmarked.... it was directly west of the marked one by about 10mtr.  One of the others was in a similar position too.  Those who saw Mark and I walk in...note there is one on the sand in there too, discarded.

Mark J also nicked one yesterday..only fin damage thankfully

Given the limit on traps that one may have....it makes me wonder what is going on here ....???....baited unmarked traps..hmmmmmm

I am farkin pissed....really pissed and will be intouch with the fisheries, with photos of damage.  Finally got some wind and onto the small gear...felt bloody fantastic on today, first run mid thirties it seems then bang.....not f#%&kin happy

SaltyNic, thank you for the info, I will be asking the question of fisheries

Big congrats to Anton on his PBs and highly motivating seeing you smashing out consistant Alpha runs mate. Well done to everyone who managed any speed in the tough conditions at Green Pt. Great to see Jason, Gabe, Pete, Andre, Rob, Bill, Matty, Anton all fired up for action. It was absolutely terrifying bearing away and was constantly thinking I may eat sand as I cannot see the bottom. Very chuffed I managed a 35+ run. Starting to get to know that board better in the stronger stuff and learning how to get some extra juice out of it in chop. Will today bring some more of the same?
