Green Island & Arlington Reef FNQ Winds 15-18 knots SSE GEAR RRD X fire 98 V5 RSR e 5 7.8 Sting 2 36 .

Misjudged the conditions so spent most of the session struggling with too small a board & not enough fin .

Stunning Day Nevertheless .

Goal was HRs/Klms -by the end the wind was retreating +++ so very glad to make it back to the Island ...

CoolSmile

Green Island, QLD, AU

Great day sailing at green and Arlington with Cam. Wind was only around 15 so no great speeds but the water was magic at Arlington making the trip over very worth while.

Used Isonic 107, C3 Sting2 38 and Overdrive 7.5Cool

Great hrs & distance for middle of winter.  But I geuss thats Green Is magic.  Thinking of coming over one year, and just working out all the logistics.  I like to have long breaks and bring all my gear, not into flying over for coupla days with one board.  How do you guyz arrange your time on Green Is.  Do you book accommodation and stay overnight?  Do you day trip it every day?  What to people do?  I certainly couldnt afford to pay $650 a night for a whole month, which is how long I'd like to say if I came that far?  Do people day trip it every day on te ferry?

Hardie-there are lots of options including specials at the resort on the island .You can go on line & book ferry tickets for a fraction of the normal retail price to cover you for transfers over a 2 week time frame & if you dont mind a wet boat ride ,we can show you some of the out of the way spots that we sail at ( take you for a ride in the tinny-26 foot Striper ).

We would be honored to look after you !!

Thanx Cam, A word of warning tho, be careful with your generous offers, and be cafreul about spending any extended time in the presence of my company...... it can be detrimental to your mental health Embarassed.  Anyway, I just have to work out how I can leave my Private Practice for 6 to 8 weeks,  Currently, SchemingCool Anyway thats up to me to work out.  I've Had a couple of health scares in the  last 12 to 18 months, so I am  feeling the need to do all this stuff before time runs out and it cant be done anymoreCry

Good to see another successful Green Island session..The good wife and some of her 'girly friends' are going over to Green Island tomorrow for a paddle board..Was thinking of giving her my GPS to see if she can get a few PB's for me..could be worth a try..what do ya think??

Well done again GI Guns Cool Forgetting about the GPS, I'd say a cruisey session across the Arlington Reef would be the duck's nuts, awesome Smile

Maybe I should have sent Chris over also Ed, might get me a good alpha Laughing

I spent a few days up at Downfall Ck with some friends in our pensioner cottages, on the way home we passed Herby going in the opp direction on his pushy, I think he had his GPS on Ed, same idea. Sorry Herb we didn't stop, no where to pull over and Chris had to be at work anyway Frown

Hardie I'll see you later this year and give you the drum Smile

Firie did I read this correctly? Are you coming over here this year? We have already had our Cerebral Transplant Convention, ( I can't remember the name of it..I think it was something to do with architecture?). Be good to see you all the same.
