25 (14457km): Melville Beach, WA, AU Some nice runs going towards Majestic Point. Too much weed for me up against Lucky Bay but plenty of others made it work with the right fins. RSR E4 6.4, RRD Xfire 98 and F2 SXXS with UFO 28 and Tectonics Falcon 28 respectively. All bests speeds on F2 SXXS with the Falcon. Good to see plenty out on both slalom and freestyle/wave gear!
Chris Adamson (14466km): Melville Beach, WA, AU First GPS sesh for 2014! I've been a slack bastard on that score. Good fun a Melville navigating the weed bergs with many of the usual suspects. Quite breezy at times. Manta 49/Warp 5.7/CL23
Recycle (17196km): Melville 15 to 30knts ,sun, rain ,warm, cold and fun.Got there around 11 and rigged the 7.0 then wore myself out trying to hang on in the gusts, changed down to the 5.8 and manta with weedy for a few runs in the shallows over the bar for the peak but with lack of fitness and potential for accident ,decided to call it. iso87 7.0 Clsl2 30 manta54 5.8 Clsw22
Slowboat (49332km): Started at Melville- full house and a few SRMs seen with a can of fly spray killing off the spiders off their gear... Some nice gusts coming through so rigged 6.4m, M47 and Tribal 21 asy (port tack). Used the speed board since I havent had it out at Melville this year and my 91 was being borrowed. Awesome. Got one nice gust for a 39.86 10sec and 40.8 on the dial. A few more puffs before a squall came through, but arms were too spent to hang on so wasted it and came in. Wind shut down for a bit, then came back in with a bit more S in it, so did a few runs out the back. Was a bit patchy so checked the forecast and at 4:20 decided on a last minute mission to the beaver. Was on the water within the hour :) Windy when I got there and was rigging, but had a lot of west. It promptly shut down after I got a very short 40pk run. A few slow runs and a bit of waiting before a gust came through and I hooked my 2sec of the day (by .06kt) and a couple of 10secs for the av. Melville 2sec 40.65, 5 x 10sec 38.12.
