Hey Peter & Kuba, why didn't you come to VP with us? It's so much better than Shearwater, especially over weekends. I should probably give you a call. But you know we always end up there unless we don't have too much time and Shearwater is the only option.

Shearwater is from time to time , awesome, George . Challenging and difficult to sail ( at least for me at speed) , like today.

Then you could go to any place and like VP or Train and feel that water is easy and almost flat.

But obviously not the best place for km and knots.

Today two observations :  Blue Bottle invasion - hundreds by Crab Island

and poor kitesurfer breaking leg nasty,  when  jumping at shallow  !

Ok, then keep practising at Shearwater and let us know when you're ready.

BTW we don't sail the speedbank in VP but open water.

Yip Peter i agree its good to mix it up, I tend to avoid the Shearwater on the weekends due to boats and kites getting in the way (its not at all share-water out there on those days). Vic Point gives you a few options, medium chop out in the open water between thompsons beach and the mud bank, light chop in close, flat water sailing on the bank. George and Shannon had some great runs all the way out to coochie and back yesterday ...lucky buggers Laughing

Well done Curt. Looks like everytime you go now 30 knots is broken, Regardles of chop or lack of wind, just bigger and bigger sails.

wardrobe issues Curt? Surprised

Yep, as long as there's enough wind Curt will do 30+ knots in any water condition Wink.

I suppose it helps to learn at Shearwater first and move on to progress but it seams that some people just get stacked. No doubt he would do 30+ at Shearwater yesterday no prob. However he would get quite frustrated by the weekend traffic ruining his session.
