Once again the wind not as good as advertised. Still was a nice arvo till it dropped & shifted to the NNE. CASL62, 6.6, 19 MUF with a bit of a moustache. Lots of people out. Aint summer great.

Went to Budgewoi to try out my Fanatic Falcon 79. Rigged a 6.6m but never really got going. Enjoyed a few moments in the flat water but then the cloud came over and killed it off. Still could have been worse, got to hear Milsy's life story. There has to be a book in that story, or perhaps a TV mini series.

10-20ktsNE Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU- rigged too big 7.5m. Could have persevered but struggle getting upwind +spinning out overpowered.  Rerigged 6.6m and much easier but not quite enough for bearaways. Wasted 1st 1.30 hr stuffing around. Enjoyed flatwater so much potential!! Had a go on  Milsys falcon seems earlier to plane and much faster although wind had died by then so not really powered up. Loved concave deck. Straps very outboard but felt good once in. Grr now I dont like my 115...

Yes very thick weed and generally between 150 to 500 mm deep.  Everyone sails with MUF Delta fins.
